You accept

The strangeness of this offer is being forcibly removed from your head as you begin to think of everything you could do with that money. Even Jason would call you an idiot for not taking it. This doe's make you start to wonder what Jason think's about all this, if he even knows. That is also pushed out of your head as you look at the number again.

"Are.. are you sure about this?" You ask, part of you still thinking that she doesn't actually realize how much she's offering you.

"Very sure!" She says slapping down a thick envelope onto the table. "You sign now, I'll give you a little starting bonus, off the record, of course."

You peak inside the envelope and see a thick stack of 100 dollar bills. You quickly glance back at her.

"Okay, I'll do it!" You say, letting your excitement guide you.

"Wonderful!" She shouts as she hands you a pen.

You quickly sign your name where it's marked and Alice happily swipes away the papers.

"Oh, I'm so happy!" She says in a singsong voice.

She's soon pouring more wine into your already full glass, before holding her own glass up.

"Now we can celebrate!" She says, signaling you to hold up you glass. "To your new role in my Son's life!"

You are still too stunned by all of this to find her wording strange, you simply take a large gulp of your wine as you continue to think about your future now being financially funded, all just to hang out with your best friend. You drink the wine down even more before setting it on the table.

"So when should I move in?" You ask, finally coming to the realization that you should get details.

"I love to see you're already excited!" She says. "But we'll need at least a little time to get you ready, but you'll be staying here for all that."

"Get me ready?" You ask, as you pick up on a few of her words while others seem to be bouncing passed you.

"Well of course I want to make sure you're perfectly prepared before I give you to Jason." She says.

You attempt to think of a follow up question, but your mind begins to feel fuzzy. You're sure that part of it is the wine hitting your empty stomach, but you suddenly begin feeling strange. You begin to stand up.

"Sorry, I just need to get some air." You say, at least you think you're talking, your words just sound like a muffled drone. Nothing gets better as you stand, the room soon begins spinning, making it a challenge to move towards the door. Your vision begins to decrease with every step until you are shrouded in darkness.

You are not sure what happens next, as the next thing you do experience, is you waking up.
