Assist Robin With the Robbery (P2A)

Batgirl arrived at the bank to see two armored trucks sitting parked at odd angles in front of the building with their engines still running, thirty five feet away three police patrol cars were parked in a jagged line with their lights flashing and sirens blaring, there were six officers behind the cars shielded from the robbers in the bank one was injured and his partner was applying pressure to a gunshot wound to his right shoulder the other four were taking turns peeking over their cars in pairs of two at a times with their weapons aimed at the large brick building's entrance, behind one of the armored trucks was the body of one of the robbers, he was wearing a half gray half black jumpsuit and had a bullet hole in his forehead.

Batgirl dropped behind the police cars near the injured officer,

"Is he alright?" She asked the officers partner who jumped a little,

"I think so, we've got backup on the way" She answered yelling over the sirens,

"Have you seen Robin?" Barbara asked the cop shook her head,

"No" She shouted,

"Don't waste your backups time we'll take care of them, get your partner out of here" Barbara yelled vaulting over the hood of the car and sprinting toward the bank.

Barbara found an open skylight window on the roof, inside the lobby she saw Robin surrounded by fourteen men, thirteen men wearing matching half gray half black jumpsuits and one who was significantly larger than the rest wearing an outfit reminiscent of a medieval executioner, he was wearing a large black canvas robe with a hood of the same color and material, over the torso was a vest of thick brown leather armor belted in place at the waist and shoulders he was wielding a massive one sided axe, the one thing that felt out of place was a clear nebulizer mask over his mouth but even it had been dressed up to look medieval with a metal grate welded to fit around the device, Barbara assumed it was administering Venom, a new **** that had appeared on the streets of Gotham overnight and had the effect of increasing a persons strength to superhuman levels.

Robin was dodging the large axe while landing quick blows to the others but he could only keep it up for so long as he was crowded in by the group, Barbara jumped through the open window she caught a light fixture on the way down and swung off of it over the group, the light shaking and the movement above them caught the whole groups attention and momentarily distracted them from Robin, Robin used the distraction and lashed out at the closest robber,

"It's the Bat run" One of the men shouted and all but five of the robbers ran toward the door the remaining five cornered Robin, Barbara was conflicted for a second about whether she should stay and help Robin until he shouted,

"I'm right behind you" Batgirl ran across the lobby and burst out into the night air in time to see three of the robbers including the big one climbing into the back of one of the armored trucks, Barbara spotted three of the men firing on the two remaining police cars and one was slamming the back doors of the armored truck closed behind their retreating companions, Barbara assumed the remaining two were in the front of the truck.

Barbara's feet pounded against the ground as she raced toward the full armored truck the man who had closed the doors was raising his handgun and firing wildly toward her, the first two bullets missed passing on her right, the next two whizzed above her head and the fifth shot was over corrected and hit the concrete in front of her and too far to her left to have done any good anyway, Barbara dropped a handful of smoke pellets when she was close enough the man tried to line up his shot but he was too late Barbara had reached him she grabbed his right wrist and **** it up over his head, she yanked it across his body before wrenching it the opposite direction there was a pop and then a snap as his elbow was **** past it's natural range.

Barbara left the man screeching in pain as he collapsed to his knees, on either door on the back of the armored truck was an simple metal handle bolted in place to help haul the heavy doors open, Barbara was just able to get her fingers around the handle bolted into the center of the left door before the truck shot forward, pain shot through her left arm as she was jerked forward by the trucks abrupt increase in speed, her right shoulder was jerked forward and bashed against the back of the truck as they tore out of the parking lot, she was then thrown the opposite direction and her back slammed into the back left corner of the truck the pain in her left arm was becoming unbearable as she struggled to keep her fingers wrapped around the handle, the truck turned a fast right and she was revered again slamming against the back of the truck, her right hand scrambled blindly for something to hold onto and found the handle bolted to the center of the right door.

Barbara's feet found the safety step on the back and planted them down on it, the truck lost a little speed as it swerved from lane to lane avoiding cars that were obeying the rules of the road, this mixed with the second handle and the step allowed Barbara to relax her left arm a little and she felt the pain ease slightly, then they took a sharp right turn and for a split second the car slowed, Barbara seized it she released her grip on the left handle and shoved her right arm elbow deep into the handle in the center of the right door and grabbed the same handle with her left hand as the truck sped up, the road they had turned onto was far too tight for the size of the vehicle which **** them to drive slower than on the larger road.

Barbara held herself close to the back of the truck and used her left hand to take two small magnetic explosive charges from her belt and placed them on the top and bottom hinges of the door, she pulled her grapple gun out and closed the three metal prongs the handle in the center of the left door before letting go of the handle and setting off the charges she was jerked into the air like a kite her cape catching the air and her grappler pulling her behind the truck, the large black metal door went flying off, the men inside the back of the truck began firing out at her she weaved and spun to avoid their bullets.

The left door suddenly went flying off as well as the large executioner burst from the truck, Barbara dropped her grappler and landed roughly on the narrow street she spun to face the man but he was facing away from her shaking and grunting the leather belts holding his armor in place burst the seams of his robes and hood tore he flailed around his grunts turning to screams they went from sounding like human screams to sounding like the screams of some kind of farrel monstrous animal, he turned far too quickly for someone of his size and through the torn hood Barbara could see his eyes bulging and yellow his skin turned an ashen gray.

The executioner charged Batgirl she stood her ground until he was feet away and then she shot forward sliding under his hulking figure, she then got to her feet and ran down the road reaching down to upholster her grappler only to find it missing laying on the ground still attached to the trucks discarded door, she heard the man charging her again she looked over her shoulder to see him running hunched over his hands tearing at the ground with every step, Barbara kept running but the man was on her in seconds she felt his hand swoop down to grab her but she dove left just in time, she slammed down on the sidewalk and he continued past her for 6 feet before tripping and tumbling and then laying on his back twitching, Barbara stood with her left side aching and limped over to the man already knowing that he was dead because everyone who had taken Venom was dead or at least everyone who ran out of Venom was, and the air tank the man was carrying was not nearly enough to last such a large man long enough, she stood over him his body already looking like it had been decaying for several day before collecting her grappler, the metal casing was dented and it seized several times as she retracted the cord back in.

Batgirl met up with Robin on the way back home for the night she didn't really want to talk to him because her whole body was in pain but she figured debriefing with him would be a good idea,

"Are you ok?" Dick asked as Barbara limped to the edge of the building,

"I'm fine, the truck got away" She answered "The big ones dead"

"Venom?" Dick asked,

"Yeah" She nodded,

"I think I rounded up everyone who stayed to hold the police off of that truck" Dick said,

"Let's hope the police can get some information about Two-Face from them" Barbara said,

"They won't these guys didn't know much" Barbara nodded,

"Can you brief Bruce?" She asked,

"Yeah get some rest"

Depending on your earlier choices Team ups can increase/decrease Batgirl's 'Bond' with other heroes, currently Teams ups can increase/decrease 'Trust, Tension, and/or Intimacy' each of these can effect the way characters act around and how often Batgirl can team up with that specific hero along with their desire to have sex with her, how each of these will effect your playthrough will be explained in the reference sheet below.

Trust: Trust and Intimacy often go hand in hand but there are some differences and you can have one with the other, Trust is increased when Batgirl helps another hero with crimes, saves another heroes life, or takes a heroes side in an argument against a third hero or the public, Trust can also be increased in certain interactions during the day, once trust is built up Heroes may request your assistance for 'Personal Crimes' which may effect Trust, Tension, and/or Intimacy.

Tension: Tension is increased when other heroes are sexually attracted to Batgirl, the suit Batgirl is wearing can automatically increase the Tension within a chapter, if you choose not to have sex with someone when given the option this may increase Tension, Tension can also be increased by helping other heroes stop personal crimes, Tension can also be increased in certain interactions during the day.

Intimacy: Intimacy increases when Batgirl forms a close bond with another hero unlike Trust and Tension which do not require a super close relationship, Intimacy will usually take longer to build into a sexual relationship, intimacy can be increased by helping heroes with crimes, saving heroes during crimes, standing up for heroes in arguments against a third hero or the public, successfully saving civilians and law enforcement with another hero, failing to save civilians or law enforcement with another hero, helping heroes stop personal crimes, and by carefully choosing when to engage in sex, Intimacy can also be increased in certain interactions during the day.

All forms of 'Bonds' can be increased and decreased over the course of the story by choices you make both at night and during the day.
