The room of new starts

The slide didn't last long, as it ended with a vertical drop. Jessica landed on a hard wooden floor with a loud thud. She slowly stood up, brushed herself down and gathered her bearings. She'd fallen into a dimly lit red and blue circus themed room. There were various strange devices of all shapes and sizes scattered around the room, along with strange and old fashioned circus posters. Strip lights stretched across the ceiling, lighting the room dimly.

"There you are!" A British feminine voice bellowed. Stood at the other side of the room was a chubby middle aged woman with messy brunette hair cascading down her back. She was completely naked save for a pink apron..

"What the fuck!? Where am I? Who are you!?" Jessica asked, shocked, disgusted and confused. "Ahhh. You didn't read the contract you signed did you..?" The woman asked Jessica, menacingly.

"U..um.. no.." Jessica responded nervously. Internally she was furious. She was so focused she didn't even think that might have been a contract! "Listen lady im really sorry to say this but I made a big mistak--"

"YOU WILL SPEAK ONLY WHEN SPOKEN TO!!" The woman bellowed, making Jessica gulp with nerves. "Now, as you haven't read it, let me explain." The woman calmly continued and picked up a copy of the contract Jessica signed. "Basically, I'm adopting you, from here on out I own you for the foreseeable future, whenever I decide I'm done with you..." She explained.

Jessica's jaw dropped in complete shock. "You can't be serious..." She chuckled, struggling to believe this. "Every word is the truth Jessica, here, you signed it." The woman replied and handed the contract to Jessica. The reporter gasped and dropped the contract, stumbling back as she realised this was real and very much true. "I... I don't believe it.. so you're my mom now!?" She yelled with disgust and anger, her fists clenched.

The woman seemed calm despite Jessica's threatening demeanor...
