A chance encounter

Amy has woken up with her mind made up. It's horrible, it's cruel, and it's barely believable, but she knows she has to do it. Her friends are right - three years as a prostitute is better than ten years naked... and/or clothed by a perverted AI.

In the window between 12:15 and 12:30, Amy will go visit Jasmine, campus's most successful and popular working girl, and agree to the queen of diamonds contract.

Having made this decision, she wanders numbly through the halls, not really sure where she's going, but not enjoying being alone with her thoughts, so hoping to find something to distract her.

The man guffaws. "You didn't take the other six?! You are JOKING!"

"It was too scary and shameful! At least this is in private... Kinda..."

"You absolute moron. You should go sign that contract today. With pocket 6s you could totally sail through this game. But with a 6, and what was your other number, a 2? With a 6 and a 2, you're completely fucked. Especially since we know some of the other 2s and 6s are already out of the deck."

"Aww... Maybe you're right... But it was so scary... And the last custodian window was this morning, anyway. So it's too late."

And assuming Cindy doesn't take her Ace contract, which nobody ever has, then Amy will be going into this hand with the highest card, because Cindy's next highest option was a Jack.

With Becky's pocket 5s, the most likely thing to happen, by far, is that Amy and Becky take 1st and 2nd place between them.

Maybe I can rely on luck after all... Just maybe...
