What's next?
The Yeong Problem
“I just don't know what I'm supposed to do about Yeong.” Lad held his arms out to the sides as Lacie took measurements of him with his suit on.
“She hates my guts.”
The Fox nodded. “Is this tight anywhere? How'd it feel out in the field?” He could tell her mind was elsewhere.
“Uhm... Are you listening Ms. Briggs?”
“Please, call me Lacie, okay?” She offered sweetly.
“I am listening... I just need to make sure everything is working for you. Nothing is tight? Not in the crotch area? Don't be embarrassed.” She dropped down to inspect his groin. It was essentially flat down there with how tight and thick the suit was.
“No? It fits just fine. Why?”
The Fox laughed nervously. “Oh, never mind then, okay? Looks like everything is fine. I checked the integrity of the suit after you got hit by the tentacle. Looks good. Make sure you tell me every time you get hit by anything. We treat these things like jets. Anything happens adds to the overall stress. Don't worry about wasting our resources or anything. It's way more important that you're safe.” She seemed to have been holding back. When she finished she leaned forward and hugged him tightly and snugly, as if she was cuddling a small animal.
“You cute thing you! God I could just eat you u-” She gasped and leaned back, wiping her brow.
“My apologies.”
“O-okay?” Lad looked off to the side awkwardly.
“It was nice...” As he said that, Lacie looked like she was about to burst. She took a deep breath and resisted hugging him again. Instead she placed both hands on his shoulders to keep him at arms length.
She cleared her throat. “Yeong... Will probably like you once she gets to know you. Right now, all she can think of you as is the guy that isn't the guy she wanted to be on the team.” Lacie smiled.
“But she is not in charge, okay? Don't worry too much. Yeong has her odd moments but she doesn't have a say in whether you're here or not and she wont endanger the missions just because she doesn't like you.”
“Should I try to make up with her sooner rather than later?” Lad asked.
“Wouldn't hurt.” The Fox shrugged.
“One more for the road.” She hugged Lad tightly and tussled his short silver hair. Once she realized what she was doing Lacie released him and added awkwardly.
“Only because you said it was nice. I... Am very very intent on respecting all of your boundaries, okay?” She offered.
“Thanks, but you can hug me whenever you want. I've never had a mom or anyone like that to do that for me. Most of the times when people try to get close to me or my sister they don't care. So this is an improvement. Everyone is so nice here, and it isn't in a bad way.” He explained innocently. Lacie looked at him sympathetically.
“Anyway, I'm gonna go track Yeong down. Thanks Ms. Briggs!”
“Any time, okay?” She waved after him as he left. As the door closed she exhaled deeply, her shoulders slumping. The woman jumped as a call came over her Com. She yelped, straightened herself out quickly and answered it.
“Yes, dear?”
Stephan's face appeared on a projected screen in front of her. “Should we have a rule where there needs to be two or more people in a room with that Lad at a time? Thinking about it, isn't it kind of stupid to let him run around on his own?” The CEO looked flustered by something.
“Okay?” She paused.
“I think this is coming from a place of unnecessary worry. We've assessed him objectively and he is fairly stable for what he's been through. Also, him getting along with Kai isn't exactly a reason to suddenly put a bigger burden on him. Would you say that if he were warming up to anyone else?” She reasoned.
Stephan looked quite uncomfortable once he realized his wife read him like a book. He grumbled. “Yeah, that's fine. Keep an eye on his mental state.”
“You know, Kai isn't exactly innocent.” Lacie claimed.
“She's-”
“Okay, bye! Bye bye!” Stephan hung up.
Lacie sighed. “Okay...” She turned to address the observer in the room. She was already taking Stephan's advice, for the most part, though it was not for her sake but for Lad's.
“What do you think, Doctor?”
The Jackal smiled subtly and waved her clipboard idly like a fan. Doctor E was a newer addition to the facility, though she came highly recommended in her field. The woman had long dark hair, bronze skin and tall, jet black ears. She had very appealing proportions and stood toe to toe with Lacie in terms of hip, waist and breasts ratio while also being quite a bit taller than the Fox. She was wearing a lab coat, much like Lacie's, and a short black skirt. She avoided showing her panties while sitting back comfortably by keeping one of her long, toned legs crossed over the other almost perpetually.
“Well...” She pushed her thin, round glasses up her nose.
“I'd say you're more correct than Mr. Briggs. Lad should have a second person in a room, but mostly for his sake. We kind of saw...” She tilted her head down to stare at a blushing Lacie, as if to say that she did not really need to say it.
“Okay, okay.” The Fox waved her hands in front of her defensively.
“Point taken. He's just so-”
Doctor E sighed. “He is very, very '****.'” She claimed. The woman stopped using her clipboard as a fan and adjusted her glasses up and out of the way of her eyes to read the clipboard.
“My choice for a candidate, Sebek, could serve with a similar skill-set and he is far more self-reliant. There is still time, Lacie.”
“I know, Doctor.” Lacie shrugged.
“I trust your judgment. I thought he was fine, but Kara's vote goes over even Steph's as the Commander.”
The Doctor narrowed her red eyes and tapped her chin. She clicked her tongue. “I understand that she is a very big part of this organization but-”
Lacie shook her head. “No. We can not be having this discussion, okay? Kara IS a very big part of this organization.”
The Jackal dropped the topic quickly. “Of course! I'd never suggest otherwise, Lacie.”

“Stop following me.” Yeong demanded.
“Can we please just talk?” Lad begged as Yeong stepped into an elevator. He pushed his arm in before the door closed, causing the Aoian to roll her eyes. She pushed a pair of headphones over her ears to show that she was not willing to listen, but the two were already stuck in the elevator together as it was going up to the Arcology. While the elevator was silent during the long ride up Lad had time to finally take in Yeong's appearance. She was dresses surprisingly tame in a dark coat that fell somewhere above her knees with a red scarf wrapped around her neck. Then of course there were the red headphones she was wearing to avoid listening.
“Please?” Lad begged somewhat pathetically as the door opened onto the ground floor of the Arcology. The ChesAn building was blocks wide and several blocks tall, so sitting on top was a city on top of a city, overlooking Orr proper. The Arcology mostly contained housing and other amenities for the millions upon millions of people that worked for the Megacorp. It was also a safe place from most attacks, and thus was a popular destination for anyone else that could afford it.
Yeong removed her headphones. “Fine.” She looked at the time on her HanCom.
“You have basically a minute.”
Lad took a deep breath. “I get that I'm taking a spot that you really wanted filled by someone you like a lot. But you gotta believe me when I say that I'm doing my best. At first I thought that I wasn't worthy to be here, that I was being carried by my trait. After that mission I feel like I actually kind of belong here. I did something for those people that I don't thank anyone else could've done as easily. That's enough for me. I hope it's enough for you, at least professionally.”
“Nice.” Yeong offered a simple thumbs up.
“Glad that's enough for you. I got no problem staying professional.”
“Eh?”
She shrugged. “I don't care, dude. I just don't like you. Didn't like you before and I don't like you now.” She watched a car approaching and practically pranced up to the curb.
“Times up, by the way!” She waved at the tinted glass with both hands in an incredibly girly gesture.
“Haaaay!”
Lad was stunned. He watched the windows roll down and saw inside the same green Orc boy he was competing with on the track. The one that had been in roughly the same boat as him. Sebek was bald, with a shining green head. From one of his ears he had two silver piercings, and a piercing through his wide, short little nose. He motioned Yeong inside.
“Hey, Baby!” He then noticed Lad standing back and lifted a brow.
“Oh, hey. Good job getting the position, I guess.”
“Thanks.” Lad watched Yeong shed her coat and toss it in the back seat. Beneath it she was wearing long black stockings held up by garters, a thong, tall black heels and a thin black tube top. She unwrapped her scarf to reveal a tight little leather collar with a tag dangling from it.
“Hey Daddy.” She whispered, leaning into the low vehicle's passenger seat. She climbed in and immediately placed herself over his lap. Lad's jaw dropped as he spread his legs and allowed her to draw his cock out from his Jeans. He realized in that moment that with Sebek there, he was no longer a part of her world. There were only two people in it.
“God.” She moaned.
“I missed this so much.” Her lips wrapped around it and sucked hard, while her tongue circled around outside her lips. Her rear shook and her legs bent, but continued to hang outside the door. Sebek had to reach out and get a firm grip on her ass to pull her all the way inside. He closed the door and haphazardly slung the belt around her sideways form.
“Safety first.” Sebek winked at Lad. He was about to roll the window up all the way when he stopped and rolled it back down.
“Hey... You like parties?”
“No...” Lad said under his breath. A lot of bad memories.
“Huh? What was that? Couldn't hear you.”
