Chapter 91 by Meaniehead

Bio Card and Power Plays

Careful Choices and Someone Takes A Risk...

Eight weeks in and you know what comes next. As Rhett introduces the power plays section, you take a moment to look over the bio card for the Lady of the College Spread deck you ended up with, Rachel Lin.

Name: Rachel Lin

Age: 21

Major: Visual Arts

Tagline: "Draws a lot… of art, not eyes!"

Stats:

Availability: 41

Fertility: 66

Kinkiness: 52

Bio: A shy, soft-spoken visual arts major who prefers sketchpads to spotlights. Rachel spends more time in life drawing classes than at parties, but those who’ve seen her portfolio say there’s a lot going on beneath the surface. Petite and always just a little paint-smudged, she’s got a habit of zoning out in public—though some suspect she’s mentally undressing people for reference poses. Gentle, awkward, and probably easier to woo with a charcoal pencil than a pickup line.

Rumor: "This Lady's last BRUSH with sex was real SKETCHY!"

It’s obvious her art turns her on—but what are you supposed to do with that? You’re no master artist. Perhaps you could do some life modeling for her but would that be enough to get her to have sex with you? It’s something to consider.

Three new challenge cards hit your tablet too, bringing the total back to five after your amazing successes of last week. A naked kiss, public sex and **** contract card join the kiss and blow job ones you already hold. Well, it’s varied, you consider.

Then you listen to the power play choices that your opponents are making. Graham’s the first to speak, using 60 points to play a free reserve power play and gain access to the Ace of Spades. Dr. Seraphine Blackstone’s card flashes into view.

Rhett whistles low, turning to the camera. “Well, damn. That’s two Aces for Graham West, and a pair of Fives to go with them. He’s closing in hard on a full house—and if he pulls it off, the man who’s barely stayed afloat becomes a serious threat. Assuming he survives that long.”

Cassie quietly speaks up. “I’ll play ‘Quadruple or Nothing’!”

As the crowd holds its breath, Rhett raises an eyebrow. “Well now… I didn’t expect you to throw this card down, Cassie. Quadruple or Nothing? That’s either going to rocket you into orbit or send you home in shame.”

Cassie just smiles coolly. “I’m not here to coast.”

The virtual die spins on the big screen behind her. It lands on a 1.

The crowd erupts. Rhett is damn near dancing. “Holy shit, it worked! That’s a quadruple! Even after deducting the cost first, her score of 5,575 just vaulted to 22,300!”

The screen shows the scoreboard again and Cassie leapfrogs you into first place with over twice your score. She says nothing but raises her glass to salute you. She’s no longer just coming for you, she’s surpassed your achievements. Of course, you’re close to a new major score, but close isn’t the same as achieved. She achieved.

And that’s it. You, Mil… er… Selene and Simon hold onto your power play option to defend against an attack.

And so the session ends. Rhett announces the start of the challenge week itself and Claire starts to play the outro. She’s shaking her head vigorously as she tries desperately to focus on her music. It’s not clear to everyone that Rhett is doing everything he can with the control he holds to disrupt her. She refuses to yield, her groans growing louder until they shake the final notes loose and she collapses gasping on the piano.

The audience loves it.

On To the Challenge Week Itself...
