The AVALANCHE copter approached the tower, the pilot radioing in to headquarters. "HQ, this is Avalanche 3-1. Making another pass to search for friendlies."

Down below, the whispers that had stopped Tifa suddenly entered into Barret, and then just as quickly emerged from him, and he took a deep inhale of air. Tifa was overjoyed.

"Daddy?! Are you hurt!?" Tifa said, clutching the Black man happily.

"Don't think so," Barret said, unable to believe it. He'd been shot in the heart ...

"This **** was not the one ordained for you by fate," Red said.

Cloud ran after the whispers, to see Sephiroth up an elevator. This time he transformed into another robed figure, this time with the number 2 tattooed on it. Cloud recognized this guy too. He'd fucked him in the Chad VR. The figure jumped off the tower into the abyss, and Cloud watched him fall into the darkness. He couldn't believe Barret was back. Tifa would have been ripe for the picking if Barret was gone ...

"'Bout time we made our escape," Barret said when Cloud returned. True enough.
