The sudden shout made Aaron jump and turn around, and when he saw two men in dark glasses and suits running towards him, tried to hide the multitool behind him hurriedly.

Too late, he realised that he had tightened his grip on the tweezers, inadvertently grabbing onto and pulling out his own soul before pulling his hands around. He felt his control of Natalie's body slipping as the potato took control, and his hands went slack as the momentum of his last movement sent both his soul and the multitool flying out over the balcony rail and into the food court below.

Darkness took over Aaron's mind as he fell, and his last thought was to hope that he would at least land on a body instead of on the empty ground.
