The creature stood there for a moment, then tapped his cane twice, **Poof**, and with another flash of light he was now standing on the other side of the desk, requiring you to peer over the lip to see him. He was now somewhere between 3 and 4 feet tall, and thankfully still dressed as he was before.
"Drink the tea before it gets cold, it will calm you down", and you gaze at the teacup on the desk, its aroma tempting you to take a few sips, "See, much better, so lets get to the explaining", he was right, the tea had somehow calmed you down, not yet accepting whatever was going on, but at least less on the panicking side.
