Date with Dana?

“Nice moves Dana.”

Dana jolted as if she’s about to jump. She turned around seeing Kyle standing in front of her. He’s just like her. Clothes soaked with sweat, hair wet and arms glistening with sweat.

Meanwhile Kyle’s eyes scanned Dana. She was wearing her usual red and white skin tight cheerleading outfit which includes a short skirt showing her body and legs. Her hair was tied to a bun, face covered with sweat.

“Oh hi Kyle.” Dana greeted. Her face slightly red at the sight of the boy suddenly appearing right at her face. “Nice game by the way.” She said trying her best to look normal.

“Yeah thanks. So how are you doing? That asshole Logan still bothering you?”

Dana shook her head. “Fortunately no. For now.” She added sighing.

“Well if you need any help.” Kyle scratched his head. “Just find me, Max and Kate. We’ll try our best to help you.”

“Thanks Kyle, actually Max and I had a long talk yesterday.”

“Oh it’s it?”

“Yeah, we kinda talked a lot. Girls stuff you know.” Dana smiled.

“Right.” Kyle blushed a little thinking they’re probably talking about him ever since Kate told him about Dana’s interest in joining their little group. You decided to shoot his shot and test his luck.

“Where’s everyone by the way?” He asked looking around at the empty field. “I remember there’s still a few of you when I finished playing.”

“Actually…” Dana rubbed her sweaty neck. “I was waiting for you. Well I was thinking of finding you.” She looked away a little.

“Could it be…” Kyle thought to himself for a moment.” You decided to take his chances and proceed.

“Hey Dana…” He said then paused for a moment. “Do you have any plans this afternoon?”

“Um no.” She answered trying to contain her smile. “Why?” She asked even though she was guessing what is about to come next. Dana has been through two relationships, she might not consider herself an expert but most boys are just predictable.

“Well… do you… want to hang out with me? You know, like getting something to drink or some snacks. It’s fine if you refuse since your recent ‘you know’ with-”

“It’s all right, I’d like to!” Dana said excitedly almost about to scream. She couldn’t contain her excitement and lets out a big happy smile. “Oh Kyle, I’ve been waiting for this for days.” She couldn’t believe what was happening, the boy he thought of for days finally asked her so go out with him.

Kyle meanwhile also couldn’t believe his luck. First he ended up with a punk Tomboy AKA Chloe and now he couldn’t believe that he himself actually scored himself a cheerleader. Let alone one of the hottest girls in school and a member of the Vortex club. He thought of Chloe for a moment then chuckled.

He had definitely owed Chloe big time. One day he’s going repay her by treating her something nice.

“Any suggestions where do you want to go?” Dana asked. “I’m thinking something simple for today. Nothing fancy.”

“Well, do you want to go on a small tea date just like how me, Max and Kate always do or do you want to go to the Two Whales?”

“I’m thinking Two Whales.” Dana answered.

“Two Whales it is then. But first.” Kyle said. “We got to get ourselves cleaned up. Can’t go out feeling sticky and sweaty right?” He chuckled.”

“Indeed.” Dana giggled.

“Well I see you later then. We’ll communicate by text or phone as usual.”

Kyle walked away from Dana but he suddenly felt his hand being grabbed stopping him in his tracks.” He turned around to Dana.

“Not so fast mister.” Dana said, this time her tone was different and licked her lips.
