A new home

The two of you ride in silence in the little sports car for the better part of half an hour before he turns onto a secluded little dirt road.

Without a word, he gets out of the car, pulling the backpack from the back seat then heading for the cabin.

You find yourself following in his wake, "Thank you for all the help." You say, knowing that the words dont sum up the gratitude you feel.

"I'm glad we could help. This is best, but if you ever need something, you know where to find us. And I'll swing by every few days to check up on you." He pauses, "Just leave a note if you step out and plan to return, that way I'll know to keep checking in. If I dont find one, I'll assume you left in a hurry and wont be back." Opening the front door, "Let me show you around."
