I roll over and silence my phone.

5 minutes later the alarm goes off.

Son of a bitch. I would rather be asleep this early on a Saturday, but it's the Peak Meet, the big Track invitational today before County. My last chance for good completion before Regional or State so if I want to increase that scholarship money I better be ready to show off.

God, I hate that nickname. Baby face was given to me because I'm the youngest of most of the seniors i know. The years almost over and I'm only finally turning 18 today. I might also have pretty facial features and no facial hair so it doesn't help.

It's early but all those guys from the group chat will be getting on the Track bus with me.

Emma is one of my better friends and my only really close lady friend. Probably because we've never dated, she says. That's only because we've never been single at the same time. And I mean Extra E Emma is her hated nickname I use for her because of her mistakenly telling me when that became her cup size this year.

Yeah I've gone through a lot of tissue boxes thinking of her but we have such good friends and sometimes flirty chemistry that we've been friends since we were in elementary school together.
