Chapter 29

Everything speeds up
The air was thick with heat and magic. Each breath Lila took tasted of copper and incense, of creation itself. Her thighs were slick, her sex still trembling and open, her belly already tightening again with a familiar pressure. She looked down.
She was swelling.
Faster this time.
Her womb was already full again, her lower abdomen pushing outward with unnatural speed. The skin stretched tight, golden sigils pulsing under the surface like fireflies trapped in glass. The diary at her side flipped another page.
The Fourth comes through rhythm. The Fifth through shared flesh. They will arrive in tandem.
Lila gasped, clutching her belly as her body prepared to bear again. “Already…? No—I need time—”
But time was gone. Rewritten.
Across the bed, Laurel moaned aloud as her hips lifted again. Her hands were spread against the mattress, knuckles white, breasts heavy and flushed. “Lila—it’s back—it’s inside me—they’re inside—!”
Her belly swelled rapidly beneath her, as if the magic was skipping gestation entirely. Her stomach pushed up and outward, skin taut and glowing, veins traced in silver.
They both screamed—not in agony, but in overwhelming sensation—as their bodies once again fell into rhythm. Their moans overlapped. Their hips rocked in synchrony. They were no longer resisting. They couldn’t. Their wombs had become passageways, their arousal fuel for the gate.
And outside—
Reality cracked.
Not shattered—but peeled, like skin pulled from fruit. Their room, once floating in a void of golden glyphs, now existed in layers—part of it still bedroom, part of it ancient altar, part of it something else entirely. Beyond the shifting walls, the world twisted. Buildings bent into spirals, trees grew upside-down with roots flowering into sky. The sun no longer held a single place in the sky—it turned like a gear, orbiting faster with every child born.
People—those untouched—screamed in streets that no longer stayed solid. The air sang with distant voices, speaking in tongues no living throat could form. Civilization was unraveling.
Because the Unbound weren’t just being born—they were rewriting everything as they came.
Back in the chamber, Lila’s body locked up with another contraction. She was flat on her back now, legs drawn up, sweat pouring from her temples. Her second child—the Fourth—was crowning already. Her hole was spread wide, lips burning around the girth of the being pressing through her. Her cock throbbed, hypersensitive, twitching helplessly between her breasts.
Laurel grunted loudly—her own hips rolling, ass lifting from the bed as a pair of tiny glowing feet pressed free from her pulsing, overstretched entrance.
Double birth.
Both women cried out as their bodies convulsed—Laurel birthing the Fifth backwards, breech but smooth, magical light sparing her the agony of resistance. Lila howled as the Fourth spilled free of her in a blinding surge of light, her body arching violently in climax as her passage clenched around the departing child.
Two more Unbound lay between them, cradled by light and ink. Tiny, pulsing with power. Waiting.
The diary glowed like a second sun now, open and pulsing.
Five born. Eight remain.
Reality bends.
Let them remember pain, so they learn to surrender.
Lila slumped forward. Her belly, flat for just a moment, gave a low pulse—and began to swell again. Laurel whimpered, still panting, hands on her own stomach as it rose once more.
And far above, in the cracked heavens, a great eye opened—
Watching.
Waiting.
Hungry.
