He checks out the new entry on his Scroll App!

"That was pretty crazy," Ruby remarked to Jaune, who shrugged as they headed towards Team JNPR's dorm again.

"I hate bullies," he said mildly. Which was true. He'd been bullied a lot in life, and now, thanks to that wish to Ruby to boost his basic combat skills, he was actually capable of fighting back against some of them. In another time, he might have instead tried to take Cardin's antics in stride, and even downplay them to others. In his experience, complaining to others about bullies and getting them in trouble only seemed to make them retaliate, hence the original preference for acting like it wasn't a big deal. But now, he was confident, and while not particularly strong compared to others at Beacon, he was definitely a better fighter than Cardin now, who seemed to just coast along on what talent he had.

"So... you going to check out that app again?" Nora asked Jaune, who blinked and looked at her in some confusion. "You know, you just met a pretty girl, and made one hell of an impression on her, I bet she now has a profile on that scroll app!"

"Oh yeah, you're right!" Jaune face palmed as they entered their dorm room. "I've been so focused on trying to get good enough to try again with Yang, and show Weiss and Glynda that I was competent, that I haven't really thought about trying to expand elsewhere..."

"So check it already... or are you going to keep putting it off like you did with Blake?" Ren asked him with a smirk.

"Oh, relax, I had stuff going on then! I'm doing it now!" Jaune flushed, fishing out his Scroll. He then paused as he saw a message. "...huh, Ms. Goodwitch came up with a punishment pretty fast... it's not too bad actually, just a 2000 word essay on deescalation of conflicts... probably getting off lightly compared to Cardin..."

"Master! Focus!" Ruby whined.

"Ah, right! Sorry!" he replied, pulling up the app and looking for Velvet's profile.
