Another encounter with Ruby! And with more luck this time!

Jaune and Ren walked together back towards their dorm, when they turned the corner, and encountered Ruby leaning against the wall. "Oh, hey Jaune, Ren!" she remarked, looking up at them. "What brings you both out here?"

"Oh, we're just taking a walk," Jaune replied, giving Ruby a smile and a wave. "Are you feeling better now at least?"

"Oh yeah, that talk with Ozpin earlier helped~!" Ruby chimed, having a bit of her usual cheer back.

"You guys chatted with Professor Ozpin earlier?" Ren asked Jaune curiously, and Jaune shrugged.

"I missed Weiss's words to Ruby earlier, but they cut deep apparently, and we ran into Ozpin while we were talking about it. He had some pretty reassuring words for us," Jaune explained. "I was having a few doubts of my own leadership."

"Yeah... Still don't feel up to talking to Weiss at the moment though," Ruby confessed. "Not sure what I'd say to her." As she spoke, she stared at Jaune, blushing, and he remembered how close she had come to kissing him and binding herself to the harem before Ozpin had shown up. Maybe he'd be luckier this time.

"Makes sense," Jaune nodded solemnly. "Fights between teammates can get nasty, huh? Makes sense that you would need a bit of space." He watched as she straightened up, and started to approach him. He stood still as she did so.

"...yeah, they can be... Hopefully, I can address the problem later, once I have a better idea how," she breathed, standing mere inches from him.

"You okay?" Jaune asked her, knowing exactly what was happening, but playing dumb for the moment.

"Yeah... I just..." she gulped, before suddenly placing her hands on his shoulders, surrendering to the compulsion, and leaned in, planting her lips directly on his.
