Sneaking Out

I hate to ask… but would you leave tonight? Without any fuss no questions? You boys made a trade a normal life for power. You can't have it both ways.

As interested as Aerith was, it was clear that Elmyra was equally suspicious. So Cloud got up early, well before dawn, creeping downstairs and avoiding the squeaky stair. He was surprised to see Elmyra up, drinking coffee.

"You're leaving? Good," she said, without a trace of emotion. "Just cut through Sector 6. Not safe enough for the likes of me, but you should be more than fine, SOLDIER.

"Ex-SOLDIER," Cloud corrected.

"No such thing. Promise me. You'll never talk to Aerith again," she said severely.

Cloud dithered for a moment. Denying a woman interested in his dick was a hard sale for a virgin like him. But she'd be such a nuisance that it wouldn't even be worth it.

"Yeah, sure."

He walked back through Sector 5, and through a gate into Sector 6 ... where he saw Aerith.

"Well, look who it is. Talk about a coincidence," she said, smirking. Cloud breathed out, relieved. Cloud 1, Elmyra 0.

"What're you doing here?" he asked coolly.

"Waiting. Because I'm not sick of you yet," she said, grinning cheekily.

"Lead on, then."
