Tales of an Akritai

In the Theme of the Armeniacs that located on the eastern frontier of the Roman Empire, an expedition with the purpose of launching a raid across the Taurus Mountains into the lands of the Abbasid Caliphate is being assembled at the theme's capital of Amaseia.

One of the young men signing up for this expedition is Thomas and he did so with the intention of gaining some loots to support himself and his family in the future.

After amassing the army massive enough for the expedition, the Strategos of the Armeniac Theme personally led the expedition out into the lands of the Muslims in the south.

The plan is to set out from Amaseia and to gain more recruits and bring more supplies from the city of Sebasteia, which is the final major city that located within the borders of the Roman Empire in Anatolia.

In Sebasteia, Thomas stayed in the barracks most of the times. But under the influences of the new friends he made in the expedition, he decided to go out and experience some nightlife in the city. And from what he heard, this city is one of the many cities that hosted the refugees from the Abbasid Caliphate known as the Khurramites, the members of the religious and political movement that was heavily influenced by the old religion of Iran known as Zoroastrianism, just like many other cities in Anatolia after Emperor Theophilos welcomed them into the Empire after they suffered defeats at the hands of the military of the Abbasid Caliphate.

After walking around the streets for a while, he and his friends settled in at a restaurant to eat some foods for dinner. There, he came across a beautiful and busty Arab waitress who is most likely one of the Khurramites. And her beauty and the jiggling breasts under her red dress made him blush a little while also gaining an erection under his pants.

Noticed his blushes, some of his friends encouraged Thomas to go and ask her out. At first, Thomas refused. But upon seeing her again and again when she either comes to serve him and his friends the foods they ordered or walking pass the table to serve other customers, he built up the courage to go and ask her out when her shift ended.

"Would you... like to come and eat with me after your shift ended?" Thomas asked her politely as he looked at her young Khurramite woman.

"Well..." The Khurramite Arab woman said as she's looking at him before playfully rolling her eyes.

"You have to wait for a little longer then!" The young Khurramite woman replied back to him.

"The name is Saadiya by the way!" The busty Khurramite woman, now identified as Saadiya, said as she walked away back to the kitchen to get more cooked foods to serve the other customers.

And so, Thomas waited for her, even after his friends already finished eating and already returned to their quarters. But lucky for him, she arrived before him in a new blue dress and blue hijab with a smile.

"So... where would you like to take me?" Saadiya said with a smile.

"Well, I heard that this city is famous for its thermal springs. So how about we go and check one of them out?" Thomas asked her politely as he's offering her his right hand.

"Let's go then!" Saadiya said as she takes his hand and let him lead her to where the thermal springs are located.
