Much better than he was expecting!

"You okay, young man?" Midnight asked Izuku in a teasing tone. "You're not going to collapse from stage fright on me now, are you? After you did so well against Villains too?"

Izuku stiffened slightly. She was right... Compared to a Villain attack, this was nothing... Though the fear was of a different kind, it was minor compared to that. He was given a task to do, and he needed to not just avoid making a fool of himself, but also say something that would drive everyone participating in the Festival. He took a deep breath, and adjusting the mic. He took a moment to mentally prepare himself as he settled on what he would say, before he spoke, "I just want to say, that today is not just a standard Sports Festival, as important as the event itself is..."

The crowd watched Izuku, curious to see where he was going with this. "Nearly a month ago, both First Year Hero courses were attacked by Villains at the USJ. It was an attempt to kill not only All Might, but both classes, an attack on not just the present of Heroism, but also the future of Heros as a whole. And that is why this Sports Festival has more significance than any that came before it. Because today, we show the world, and the Villains of it, that despite their efforts, despite them taking their best shot at us, we all not only survived, but they didn't break any of us! Not a single person here has abandoned our path to becoming a Hero! In spite of them, we are all STILL HERE!" At that declaration, he raised his right fist, an obvious emulation of All Might.

Before anyone could start applauding, he continued, "And to those of you in the General Courses who seek to join the Hero Course... I welcome you to try your hardest! If you have what it takes to stand with those of us who earned our spots, both in the exams, and in an unplanned trial by fire, today is your chance to show it! As for me, I will be participating in this event with everything I've got! So let's all go beyond today! Plus Ultra!" With that, he fell silent, and stepped away from the mic, and walked back into the crowd as he was applauded.

"Very well put from your student, Eraserhead!" Present Mic stated from the announcer's booth, where, Aizawa had somehow been roped into being a co commentator. How, no one was sure, least of all Aizawa himself, as he had verbally expressed earlier in the day.

"That was awesome... Even if it was a little bit cheesy," Setsuna teased Izuku as he was slightly hyperventilating in disbelief he had actually pulled that off.

"Just... Give me a moment," Izuku wheezed as Midnight began explaining that the Festival would have three events... Starting with an obstacle course.
