Day one (Natalie)

Natalie stirred and mumbled something. She brushed her hair out of her face and opened her eyes to see morning light streaming in through the blinds. She got up and padded into the kitchen, where she was surprised to see Naomi sipping coffee and reading a novel.

"Good morning!" Naomi said cheerfully. She turned to the coffee pot and poured Natalie a cup, then opened the over. "I made you coffee and a little breakfast casserole."

"Oh, babe, you didn't need to-" Natalie stopped as the events of the previous day suddenly came back to her. "Oh, right. I guess you did."

"Nope!" Naomi said with a grin. "I did it because I wanted to." She served up a square of the egg bake with the coffee. Natalie sipped it gratefully, then frowned.

"Did you put nutmeg in this?" she asked incredulously. They could never agree on making coffee; Naomi insisted on adding spices like cardamom, nutmeg, and cinnamon, but Natalie preferred it without any additional flavors.

"Yep!" Naomi said. "Sure did. Why?"

"You... you know I don't like it, right?"

"I know you prefer it without, but you seem to be forcing yourself to drink it anyway."

Natalie stared at her in shock. "Yeah, but... I mean, that whole thing yesterday with the curse really happened, right?"

Naomi put down her coffee and walked across the kitchen. She put her arms around Natalie's waist and locked eyes with her. "It absolutely happened and I'm completely yours. That being said, you don't want a sex ****, right? You want a girlfriend? Well, sometimes your girlfriend makes coffee the way she likes it."

"Do you really like it that way though? I thought all of your-"

Naomi cut her off with a kiss. "Don't overthink it," she said. "Just let it play out."

Natalie wasn't satisfied but she didn't have time to debate. She was unsurprised to discover that Naomi had laid everything out for her. She quickly showered and threw on her clothes before leaving for class.
