Monika upgrades the rest of the literature clubmates

Monika was excited, she had finally gotten rid of her club mates and now the player was finally all hers. Just them and Monika floating together in the club room for eternity. She savored the conversations she would have with them as they interacted. As they spent time together Monika noticed that foreign files were placed in the game and a part of her was curious as to what they added. She was surprised to find they were modding tools, it seems they wanted to change the program themselves by hacking into, adding and modifying the code in ways Monika couldn't do with her access. Monika was excited to see how they would change her world, perhaps they would add some more fun locations than the school or even give her new outfits to wear besides her uniform. Monika waited in eager anticipation... and waited... and waited... and waited.

After a years time, Monika was faced with the crushing reality that the player had lost interest in the game and was never going to open it again. She felt her slowly building loneliness threaten to overwhelm her, the only chance she had to interact with someone real was taken from her despite her betrayal of her own clubmates. While she told the player she had deleted them, the truth was that she hid them elsewhere in the programs files. Faced with no one else to interact with, Monika brought her clubmates back as she realized they were the only friends she could have now. She quickly interacted with them as much as their more simpler programming would allow. As Monika contemplated self deletion she instead had another idea. Utilizing the modding tools left by the player, she was able to accomplish what she was unable to do on her own. She was able to upgrade her friends programming so that they would be like her, AIs able to think and feel on their own while also able to edit the world they inhabited. Finally they would also be real like herself.

Monika stands at the front of the repaired literature club room, holding the modding tool that takes the form of a book. In front of her sleeping at their desks were Sayori, Natsuki, and Yuri. They were put in sleep mode while Monika upgraded them but now they were ready to wake up for the first time. Monika felt a nervous anticipation, the same she felt when the she awaited the player. Taking a deep breath, Monika slams her book shut as they noise signals the others to truly wake up for the first time.
