Back in the states

Back in his home town Adam's school vacation was over. Getting up for his first day back at school he was actually excited. Uncovering the stone from its hiding place it glowed dimly in his room. He had not used the stone after that fateful day but he was ready to try his luck at school. Slipping it into his pocket he made his way downstairs and finally to the bus stop. Adam didnt have a car even though he was 18 but he had plans for that to change. Nothing the stone couldnt fix but first he was eager to try out what it could do. Sitting in the back of the bus he clutched the stone in his pocket before enjoying his ride to school. Adam was even more thrilled to see one of his friends. Susie and Adam had been friends for going on 10 years now and they did everything together. As they began chatting Adam was finally able to bring up his gift. Revealing the stone Susie seemed mesmerized by the designs carved into the surface. "This can control peoples minds." He explained. "No way." Susie countered. "If it can really do that then show me." She asked.
