Chapter 615 by Exarch-of-Sechrima Exarch-of-Sechrima

The was wild

I wanna rock and roll all night!

While Nick and Mary were screwing each other’s brains out in the Master’s Suite, the other members of Nick’s harem were busy acclimating to their new environments and preparing themselves for their first night together with their new roommates.

For some of them it was easy doing- Sylvia had absolutely zero qualms about Marley hugging her nice and tight while they slept, meaning that there was little trouble getting three bodies to squeeze together in a single bed.

At the same time, however, there were pairings that didn’t have as amicable of an arrangement.

Dawn trudged out of the bathroom, ears drooping and eyes baggy. She yawned, feeling worn out from disappointment. Not even a nice dinner in the Banquet Hall had improved her mood. Sure, she had a great transformation that she could hopefully take advantage of moving forward, but that didn’t help very much when she factored in the fact that she’d spent 2000 BP last night to buy a hint that had won her a whopping third elimination.

She’d barely gotten any VP, what a waste.

But she didn’t have time to sit around feeling bad for herself- not when she had other things to deal with at the moment.

Specifically revolving around her new roommate.

Dawn was no stranger to frustrating roommates. She’d stayed with Gina for the first two rounds of the show, after all. And there was no way that someone could be a bigger pain to deal with than her, right?

Well…

Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin had quickly embraced their room, and all of its features. Taking what Carly had said about the dancing game as a personal challenge, she had set out to prove the cosplayer wrong and stormed right to the machine to give it her all.

Not before changing into something a little more fitting, though.

Dawn was surprised. She had expected Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin to stick to her previous style of dress, and keep wearing those tight leather jumpsuits. But the assassin had quickly adopted a look more akin to what Dakota had encouraged her to try when she’d given the dark-haired girl her transformation in the first place.

Oh, yes, there was still black leather, don’t get her wrong. But the assassin had decided to show a bit more skin, wearing tight leather pants that hung low on her hips, while going for something a little more sultry upstairs. A frilly pink tube top clung to Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin’s slender frame, displaying her sweat-covered midriff proudly as she danced her heart out on the machine. It was just transparent enough, too, that Dawn could make out a dark bra underneath.

Well, at least she’s wearing underwear. That’s definitely a plus, Dawn couldn’t help but admit.

And if there was something else the girl had going for her, it was stamina. She must have been at that game for hours, trying and failing to surpass Dani’s score. But she didn’t seem discouraged in the slightest, dancing about with a big smile on her face as she relished the flashing lights and thumping music.

It was like being roommates with a night club. The last thing in the world Dawn wanted to deal with.

I suppose she’s getting the most out of those nanomachines that she can, before they’re flushed out of her system, Dawn acknowledged, noting that Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin’s chest had shrunk significantly since this morning. She had no idea when the round would be “over” for the purpose of the assassin’s transformation and she would have to start stockpiling nanomachines all over again, but it had to be coming soon. The challenge was over. Maybe tomorrow morning?

Dawn cleared her throat loudly, trying to get the other woman’s attention. She saw the assassin’s pointed ears twitch, so she knew that she’d registered Dawn’s presence, but as usual she seemed to be ignoring what everyone else had to say.

But Dawn could be really stubborn when she put her mind to something.

“Hey!” She said a little louder. “Are you listening to me?”

Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin whipped her head around and gave the cat girl a piercing stare, all while keeping in time with the beat. Dawn had to respect the dedication, if nothing else.

Dawn put her hands on her hips. “I’m planning on going to bed soon,” she informed the other woman. “Would you mind switching to a game that doesn’t make so much noise, at least?”

Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin didn’t nod, or shake her head, or do any other commonly-accepted body indicator that she was acknowledging Dawn’s question. Instead, she just curled her lips up into an amused smile.

That, along with the fact that she kept dancing, was answer enough for the irate cat girl, who stomped over to the machine.

“I want to get some sleep!” She snapped. “I don’t know if your body needs it or not, but mine does! Without adequate sleep, my brain won’t be able to work as effectively! And that’s a bad thing!”

Of course, Dawn knew that her mistake was assuming Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin cared about anyone but herself. Of course the other girl wouldn’t listen to a plea like that. No, she would have to find some other way to get her attention…

Respect could work.

Dawn knew that this next idea was a long shot. But if worked, maybe she could actually develop a dialogue with her nightmare of a roommate.

“How about this?” She **** a challenging smile to her lips. “How about if I get in on the action, huh?”

That got Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin’s attention. The slender dancer slowed down as the song came to an end, and actually turned to face Dawn fully. Her icy blue eyes glittered with curiosity as she leaned forward, wondering what the other girl was getting at.

Dawn wasn’t quite sure herself.

“…I’m pretty agile too, you know,” she pointed out, her tail flicking behind her. “Let’s do a two-player. You against me. See which one of us is better, how about that? And when we’re done, we go to bed?”

It was a decent offer. But she wasn’t sure if the other girl would-

Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin nodded rapidly, her eyes shining with excitement. Her smile widened as possibilities flashed across her face, and Dawn found herself smiling.

“Well. I guess that works, then,” she said, relieved. She could see a gleam of excitement in the other woman’s eyes, a look she recognized well.

Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin was just as competitive as she was.

Dawn could work with that.

“Winner! Player 2!” The machine announced. Dakota had taken the time to make it sound like her own voice, how nice of her.

“I-I did it…” Dawn leaned back against the railing, gasping for breath. Her clothes were drenched in sweat, much to her chagrin (she’d just changed!) and it felt like her lungs were going to explode.

But it was all worth it, because she’d managed to beat the other girl.

Only one problem.

Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin glared furiously at Dawn, and her cheeks puffed up so round that the cat girl wondered if she was amplifying them with her nanomachines.

“What?” Dawn demanded, frowning. “I won, fair and square.”

Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin crossed her arms over her chest and shook her head petulantly, like a tantrumming child.

“Hey, I’m surprised too! But I’ve been doing gymnastics ever since I was a little girl, you know!” She snapped.

There was no question that Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin completely outclassed Dawn when it came to raw athleticism. She was superhuman, after all!

But Dawn had her beat in the one area that mattered, and that was brains. Even though she couldn’t outspeed her nimble opponent, she could outthink her. Dawn calculated the rate and pattern of the song, and knew where the arrows would show next after deciphering the game’s algorithm. It had taken a few tries- Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin had won the last five times they’d gone against each other- but she was confident that she’d be able to win this sixth one.

And she had!

But apparently, 5-1 wasn’t a record that Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin was willing to accept.

“…You’re going to keep going with this, aren’t you?” Dawn groaned, sensing the futility in this little exchange of theirs.

The nod she received in reply only confirmed her worst fears.

Sighing, Dawn hung her head. So much for that. I just exhausted myself and it was all for nothing, damn it!

Then she raised her head to see Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin burning two holes into her with a fierce stare.

“What?” Dawn winced, shrinking back slightly. “Leave me alone. I’m done playing with you. If you’re not going to stop anyway, I’ll just try and make the best of it, I guess.”

She moved to step off the platform, but Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin’s hand snapped out and she caught Dawn’s wrist in a vice-like grip.

The assassin made a strange expression, almost like a silent growl. Dawn bristled in concern and scowled.

“You can’t make me play another game with you,” she said firmly, shaking her head. Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin was a worse loser than she was, apparently!

The assassin pouted in disappointment, but let Dawn go. Not that Dawn was all that thrilled with the current situation herself. There had to be some way to get through to this woman and get her to go to bed…

How? She can’t even talk! And she clearly doesn’t respond to logical reasoning. So what am I supposed to do, bribe her? With what? No way is she getting any BP out of me. And it’s not like I can go give her some ice cream! The faeries can get as much for her as she wants!

Dawn almost considered preparing some sorbet, but she was concerned that Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin might consider that an affront to ice cream or whatever, and pitch a fit.

No chance she was risking that.

What else does she even like? The only other stuff she cares about are Kim and Nick, and I can’t just… hey, wait a minute!

A very crazy idea crossed Dawn’s mind, and she cracked a grin.

“Hey, so, how about we do something else, instead?” She asked, looking at the assassin, who was waiting impatiently for Dawn.

Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin raised a curious eyebrow and looked carefully at Dawn. Her ears twitched in consideration.

Dawn swallowed, and straightened up.

“Look. You think… well, I mean, you like Nick, right? Obviously you do, it’s written all over your face every time you see him!” Dawn pointed out.

Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin shrugged and gave Dawn a “So what?” kind of expression.

“Well… no one’s known him longer than me,” Dawn pointed out, ignoring Dakota and maybe Gina. That didn’t matter right now.

Now she had the other woman’s attention. Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin raised a curious eye and leaned in intently. She was practically hanging on Dawn’s every word!

“So… what if, and this is just a hypothetical, mind, what if I happened to know some stories about Nick, hmm? From back when we were little kids. Would that be something you’re interested in, maybe?”

Like baiting a fish with a worm.

Sorry, Nick. I’ll make it up to you later. But this is about my sleep! Dawn silently apologized as she relished the look of excitement on the mute girl’s face.

Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin’s body language completely changed, and now she was gazing almost reverently at Dawn.

“So do we have a deal, then?” Dawn asked. “You stop dancing for tonight, and I’ll give you some stories about when Nick was a kid. I’ve got ‘em all up here, perfectly stored!” She raised her finger to the side of her head and tapped on her temple.

Augmented Synthetic Humanoid Assassin couldn’t nod fast enough, much to Dawn’s relief.

Finally… she could get some sleep!

On that topic, there was another girl who was worried about falling asleep tonight, and that was Morgana.

“You’re pacing,” Amelia said sharply, causing the goth girl to jump.

“I-I am?” Morgana stammered, looking hesitantly at the beautiful blonde. “Sorry about that… I didn’t mean to, um…”

“My apologies,” Amelia said, trying to soften her tone. She hadn’t meant for her words to come out as such a harsh rebuke. “That was not how I intended to come across. I was simply trying to ask, are you feeling well? You appear to be very anxious.”

Morgana gulped. Amelia sure could read her, couldn’t she?

“I… I’m not,” Morgana said, shaking her head. She sighed. “I’m not feeling unwell, it’s just… well…”

Her tongue was getting all tied up into knots. That certainly wasn’t good.

Calm down! You’re in the Luxury Suite, so you should be more confident, remember? Morgana’s inner voice tried to remind her about the benefits of this room, and why they’d wanted to be here again in the first place. And you’ve got a witch hat now! You can do magic! You shouldn’t be all doubtful and insecure, you know better!

That’s right, Morgana needed to be firmer! She straightened up and looked directly at Amelia, trying to be cool and suave and mature just like the stoic woman in front of her.

Well… she did her best!

“It’s my transformation,” Morgana said, glancing over at the diary on her dresser. “I’m supposed to write down a fantasy in it every night.”

“I am aware,” Amelia said. During dinner, she had asked around a bit more about the transformations of the other girls. Not knowing the full effects of her own transformation had cost her dearly in the challenge, and she didn’t want to make that mistake again. Fortunately, Sylvia was a wonderful font of information.

“The first night of a round is always challenging for me, too, because of my The High Priestess transformation,” Morgana added. “I was so worried about that, my diary slipped my mind.”

She’d grown complacent, unfortunately.

“Last round, I was partnered with Dawn, and she was fine with me writing down her name,” Morgana explained. “But it’s not like I can just go and ask her if that’s still okay-! She’s probably sleeping! And I know some of the other girls would probably be fine with it, too, but without asking them…”

She glanced over at the door. The new bold Morgana had no qualms about going to ask if she could use someone’s name in the diary. But she wasn’t sure that she could leave the room now that it was time for curfew.

Just because she was bolder, that didn’t mean she could break the rules!

That was precisely what was occupying her thoughts right now.

“…You won’t look down on me if I go out even after curfew, right?” Morgana asked hopefully. The last thing she wanted was for the older woman she admired to think she was some troublemaking teenager or something!

Of course, if Morgana had any sense of Amelia’s thoughts at the moment, her concerns would be greatly alleviated.

This girl… she realizes that she’s a prisoner here, correct? And she is being considerate of her jailer? Unless Dakota has implemented some new rule that results in a punishment for violating curfew, there shouldn’t be any problem. Perhaps it would alleviate her worries if I simply accompanied her, in order to share in whatever potential punishment may occur? It would be better than for her to suffer unnecessarily from her doubts, Amelia decided.

But that wasn’t what she ended up saying. Seeing how frantic and needy Morgana was being, like someone at the end of their rope, Amelia tried to take a firmer hand and assert some control over the young girl.

“You don’t need to worry about leaving the room to ask someone,” Amelia assured Morgana, trying to tell her that she didn’t need to worry about Dakota’s punishment because she would be right there with her, but not quite managing it. “I will take responsibility myself.”

Morgana stared at Amelia with wide eyes as she tried to process what the older woman was saying. She couldn’t believe it!

“Really?!” She asked, her voice brimming with hope. “You will?!”

Amelia gave her a slight nod. “Certainly,” she replied. “It is the least I could do.”

Wow, Morgana definitely didn’t expect that!

“Oh, wow, I just… I thought you wouldn’t want to,” she said, her cheeks flushing. She picked up her diary and clutched it excitedly to her chest. “Thank you so much, Amelia! I won’t forget this! That’s so generous of you!”

Amelia raised her eyebrow. She was about to ask Morgana what she meant by that, when the goth girl scurried away into the bathroom and slammed the door shut behind her before she could get a word out.

“…Are you not going to go out?” Amelia questioned, not realizing yet just what Morgana had assumed she’d agreed to.

As Morgana furiously scribbled out all the fantasies she’d been building up as a result of her excitement at becoming a witch, other members of the harem were just trying to sleep.

Dani was one of them. Unfortunately, her feathers were getting in the way.

“Ungh,” she muttered, turning over on her mattress. No matter which was she turned, she just couldn’t get comfortable with all those feathers pushing into her skin! Earlier on she’d been a big advocate of the transformation, but she was starting to have second thoughts.

It didn’t help either that Vivian had insisted she be allowed to plug in a nightlight.

As Dani turned in her sleep again, she bumped up against Vivian.

“Ahn!”

A muffled moan made the tomboy’s eyes snap open in surprise. She craned her neck to look back at the heiress, peering at her trembling figure through the dim light.

Vivian was trying to get to sleep as well. Her eyes were clenched shut, and her cheeks were flushed so red Dani could even make it out from here. She was shifting around, trying to get comfortable as well. Dani almost thought she was having a nightmare or some sort of erotic dream, when she remembered one of the transformations Vivian had gotten.

Blushing herself, Dani decided to let sleeping heiresses moan, and she turned around again, resuming her own efforts to get back to sleep.

Hopefully Vivian’s moans wouldn’t keep her up too much.

Or hopefully not
