Slowing down and chilling out

I hit escape on the keyboard, the game on the monitor stills and the pause menu comes up, I pick up my phone and read through the message that just pinged through, I laugh softly at Vi's message.

"I fear I may have to commit a little bit of ****, you think anyone will notice if I'm the only one that walks out of this class?"

It's been a few days since Trev's pool party, Vi has effectively ghosted him, Trev was insistent on meeting up again but Vi told him she was busy, Trev to his credit, picked up the hint. I'm sure he's waiting forlornly for a message from Vi. She made the decision pretty quickly that Trev was boring and wanted to take a break from him and indulging in the fetish. Honestly, I think I needed a break as well, this whole netorase stuff is obviously great, but it's not something I need ALL the time. I type out a reply, a stupid grin on my face.

"Nah. she'll be right. Just make sure to pretend you put up a fight when you leave."

Vi must be bored as hell in class because she replied almost immediately.

"AHAHA. I AM pretty strong huh??"
*Ping*
"What are you up to? Pls entertain me in my time of need."

I lift my phone up towards the mirror and form a thumbs up as I snap a picture and send it to her
"Getting Strong." I add a little bicep emoji.

"Going to to the gym so you can beat me up more effectively :("

"Vi! You have to stop with those jokes! AHAHA Someone will read over your shoulder one day and call the cops on me!"

"Joke?"

I roll my eyes and laugh as she teases me.

"hehe. Are we doing anything tonight?"
I think for a moment as I ponder her question, it has been a while to be fair.

"Uh, we can? I'm kind of down for a chill night in? We can pick up some pop corn and just watch a movie?"

"Trying to lure me into your house to use me for my body :/"

"You're such a loser."
She laugh reacts my message before sending though her reply, marked by another ping.
"AHAHAH. Nah I'm down for that! I'll pick it up on my way to yours, you wanna cook or order in?"
Before I can reply with 'order in' she sends another message.
"I sure would loooove prawn stir fry noods ;) ;)."

I scoff amusedly "I gotchu babes, now pay attention to your class!!"

"THANK YOU I LOVE YOU BUT ALSO RUDE HATE YOU <3"

I put my phone back down and save my game, I turn the computer off and get my keys and head down the hallway to the elevator. The elevator rumbles around me, I'm so glad that Vi is such a fan of this incredibly easy recipe, I made it on one of our first dates, turns out Vi is a big seafood fan, I wonder if that's what made her so infatuated with me. I already have the soy sauce, sesame oil and garlic, I just need the udon noodles, prawns and vegetables.

I step out of the elevator and make my towards the exit of the lobby. I greet Heidi as she blushes and smiles at me with a small wave. "How are you, Erik? Feels like we haven't spoke in a while!"

I pause and approach the reception desk "I'm good, yeah, heaps of studying and spending time with Vi, have you met her?"

"Vi? She's your girlfriend right? Haven't properly met her but I've seen her around, you two are so cute together!" Heidi flutters her eyelashes slightly.

"I think you two would really get along to be honest, shes coming around tonight, I'll introduce her to you."
I swear I catch something weird from Heidi, her shoulders tense and her eyebrows furrow slightly, her lips purse ever so slightly and she lets out a strained smile "That'd be nice!" Her eyes dart to the computer as it pings.
"Oh, I'll leave you to it don't get in trouble because of me." I smile and turn and make my way to the exit again.
