Hitting the books.

I rub my dry eyes as I switch incessantly between tabs, the warm takeaway coffee flowing down my throat as the quiet hum of the library surrounds me. After hanging out with Sai I decided to make do on the decision me and Vi made and taking out time to properly spending time to study and spend time on university. Alas, I am not Vi who seems to be able to watch or read information and apply it perfectly, I actually need to read something over and over and do exercises to even understand it a little. I swear Vi has a photographic memory. I feel my eyes droop with heaviness as the two densest and boring subjects taunt me in their separate tabs; finance and business management. My fingers hover over the keyboard as I stare at the screen, the convoluted and antiquated student email page in front of me. I'm confident that Mrs. Revers was flirting with me at the beach which of course, would be fun to continue in private, but I also need unironic help with the subject she teaches.

"Hi Mrs. Revers,

It was nice to see you the other day and thank you for reminding me about the private tutoring. I will be needing some help with the subject and hope you're still up to see me. I'm free most weeknights, please let me know what works for you.

I'm looking forward to some one-on-one time.

I hit enter as the message whizzes off into cyberspace and I push my face into my hands from embarrassment. I hope that I've hit a good middle point for flirty and also 'please help me this subject is torturous.' The pain points around my forehead quickly approaching a boiling point.

"Looking a bit rough there."

As my vision unblurs, free from the darkness from my palms, coming into view is a cute and recognizable face, A simple white singlet adorned by a baby pink cardigan and finished with a pair of simple light blue jeans.

I laugh softly as I look up at her with a pained but smiling expression "Business is not one of my favorite subjects."

Heidi puts a hand on the back of the chair next to mine "Want some help? I did business last semester."

I nod and put a hand out "Please."

Heidi pulls the chair out and angles her ass towards me, she sits down and pulls a laptop out of her tote bag "Whose your professor?"

"Mr. Jackson."

"Ugh. Unlucky, the class itself is rough but not as rough as he makes it." She scoffs and pushes a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

Look, I was expecting some flirting. We end up spending like 30 minutes actually studying, Heidi is explaining and answering every question I have with the experience of a tenured professor.

"I don't think I've ever asked Heidi, what are you studying?"

She looks up and smiles "Oh, a Phd in financial engineering."

Jesus Christ.

I put an arm around Heidi and grin "Thanks for the help." I slowly let my eyes drop down to her lips and then back up to her eyes, her reaction is immediate. She licks her lips as she blushes and giggles "Oh yeah. Anytime."

I pull my arm back and make an obvious show of checking her out "Heidi, are you single?"

Her eyes go wide and somehow her cheeks get even redder in color "I am. But you have a girlfriend right?"

I nod "I do. But I'm just in such shock. You're clearly a genius and you definitely... look after yourself." I look down at her legs and snake my gaze back up to her face "I just can't believe you don't have a man."

Heidi's legs shift as she rubs her thighs together nervously under my gaze, gone is her confident voice from when she was helping me study, and back is her usual meek shy voice "Oh... I just am busy a lot... I don't go out but I don't mind..."

I grin and bite my lip flirtatiously "I'd love to see you out more. You should come out with me sometime."

Heidi reaches up and bites on her thumb nervously, she averts her gaze to the laptop "Your girlfriend would be okay with that?"

I grin and put a hand on her denim covered thigh, I feel her muscles stiffen at my bold touch, but she doesn't pull away "About going out with a friend? Of course not." I can't help but tease her "I just won't tell her how hot you are, no issues."

She glances over at me with wide eyes, but I can see the hint of a smile on her pretty lips "Are you sure?" I nod in response. She chews on her index finger and I can see her aura shift in real time, she reaches over and puts a hand on my chest "I uhm..." Her nervousness is quite cute "Could use some help buying a new outfit."

I close my laptop and grin "I have time, Shall we?"
