A few days later he arrived at Brandi's address, dressed in a sleek button-up shirt and khakis. The house was a modern two-story with a pool out back, surrounded by palm trees that swayed gently in the evening breeze. The lights were on, music thumped through the walls, and the sound of laughter and chatter filled the air. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door, feeling a mix of excitement and trepidation.

He could feel the bass of the music vibrating through the wood as he waited for the door to open. His heart raced a bit faster than it usually did before a party, but he chalked it up to the anticipation of seeing Brandi again. The door swung open, and she appeared, looking even more stunning than before.
