reminiscences and realizations

Claire with Steven's things (clothes, keys, phone etc...) left her dorm room and Ando went to her room.

the key opened the door normally and she went in.

The room was as she remembered, the typical identical furniture from her room, a computer, some baseball accessories and tools.

Claire paused for a moment, why did she remember the room? she had never been here before.

She shook off this strange feeling of familiarity as she put the things on Steven on the bed and then started looking for some clues about Steven.

but that's when things got weird, she realized she knew the things in the closets and how Steven got them.

Claire: this is impossible! how do I know that this hat was a gift from his father in elementary school?

Claire felt uncomfortable as she finally connected the dots.

Steven hadn't disappeared, She was Steven! she run in the bathroom and threw up.

Claire: God can't be! This is madness!

But she couldn't deny the truth, whatever she looked at, if she concentrated she could figure out what they were, where Steven had gotten them and was attached to them.

Claire had a panic attack, as she began to ask herself existential questions.

He's not the original, he's not Claire, now he's Claire? Can he go back to being Steven? Does he want it? What should she tell the other Claire about all this?

At a certain point Steven's phone started ringing, Claire didn't have the courage to answer but she looked at the name it was calling, It was Tyson, a member of Steven's baseball team, maybe he was looking for him because he hadn't shown up for practice.

The image of the boy hung in her mind, he was handsome and would be happy to be there.... she tried to clear her mind.

Claire waited until Steven's phone stopped ringing, then she put it on silent and put it in her pocket, along with the room keys, she had to go back to the other Claire and reveal the truth to her (is it perhaps comfort sex?).
