Magical Presence

It was four o'clock in the afternoon. The party had winded down and a couple of the guests had left. Stephanie and Tim had excused themselves, which Aaron suspected was due to Batman calling them over for a mission.

Out of nowhere, his head started to tingle. He sensed magic–no, a presence. A warm, sparkling presence…

'Right outside my door? But who could it be…?'

Aaron excused himself and headed to the door, towards the presence that seemed warm and familiar. Before he could get close, the door swung open with a soft creak. To his astonishment, Zatanna stood there with a mischievous grin, holding a small gift box in her hand.

"Well, well, well, I thought I could sneak but guess not." A wink and a smirk. "Happy birthday, Mr. Aaron Reigner."

Aaron blinked, his heart beating faster with the unexpected arrival of the enchanting magician. "Zatanna, what are you doing here?"

She chuckled playfully. "I couldn't let your special day go unnoticed, now could I?" Zatanna replied, stepping into the apartment and closing the door behind her. "Your daughter, Chloe, called me over. You gave her my number, didn't you?"

"I did," Aaron admitted. His eyes started to wonder and he focused on her looks rather than her words.

Her outfit, thankfully, wasn't as horny as before. There was no excess show of cleavage nor her delicious thighs. She wore an appropriate black magician's outfit. She strutted past him, her cape fluttering behind her, quipping, "Follow me for your birthday present, birthday boy."

As soon as Zatanna entered the living room, Chloe leapt in the air. "Wow! Zatanna! Wow, wow, you actually came!"

Chloe ran up to her and grinned. Zatanna kneeled down and petted her. "Why, of course, my dear." She put on a haughty magician persona. "Anything for your little family."

"Damn, dude, that's friggin Zatanna," Daxton told Andre in a terribly loud whisper.

Riko leaned to the side and was much better in her whispers. Even so, Aaron could hear Riko asking Izzy, "S-should we get her autograph?"

"After," Izzy replied, low. "After her show is over, then we do it."

Cassandra and Stephanie greeted her with a sense of familiarity. Of course they did. Zatanna was akin to a family friend to them. Duke as well, albeit with a bit of a stutter in his voice. It was like having a cousin as a celebrity. Sure, you knew them, but you also knew them as a famous, rich person.

With a flick of her wrist, Zatanna conjured a small stage in the centre of the living room, complete with velvet curtains. "Are you ready for a show, everybody?"

There were claps and cheers. Everybody hovered on the couch as if they were watching a puppet show.

Chloe could hardly contain her amazement as she nodded eagerly. "Absolutely, I can't wait!"

Aaron sat next to his daughter and smiled. "Surprise us, Mistress of Magic."

Zatanna winked. "With pleasure."

The magical performance began with Zatanna weaving her spells and illusions with effortless grace. She made cards disappear and reappear, plucked glowing orbs from thin air, and even levitated a bouquet of roses, sending them dancing around the room.

Her enchanting show continued with a series of stunning tricks, leaving the small audience of seven people utterly spellbound. Zatanna's command over her magic was mesmerizing, and he found himself losing track of time as he watched in awe.

As the grand finale approached, Zatanna's grin grew even wider. With a flourish of her hands, she conjured a shower of sparkling lights that filled the room, creating a breathtaking display of colours and shapes.

In that moment, Aaron felt like he was transported to another world, surrounded by magic and wonder. Zatanna's performance was not just a show; it was a gift of joy and excitement that filled his heart with gratitude.

As the lights dimmed, Zatanna took a bow. "Happy birthday, Aaron," she said, warm and sincere. "I hope this night brings you as much happiness as you bring to others."
