“Would you like to assign a name?”

“Are you sure, Sir? After providing a name, future adjustments will be extremely difficult.”

Facing the scientist, I nodded and confirmed my choice. “Yes. That would be a perfect name.”

“Perfect. It will be done, Sir.”

As I shifted my focus back to my soon-to-be bodyguard, from the corner of my eye I noticed a very small change in the scientist’s eyes. I couldn't figure it out and decided to throw it to the back of my mind.

I take one last look of the black man suspended in the glass tube before leaving, not noticing the unusual smile on the scientist's face.
