Onward to the next day...

Today is Wednesday, and in the chaos of the past week you'd forgotten what makes Wednesday special until now. It's a half day, with the afternoon supposedly being dedicated to "free study". Of course, as Alex informed you earlier, nobody actually uses it for that unless they have absolutely nothing better to do (you're pretty sure she side-eyed Seraphine in the far corner of the classroom as she said that).

You are a Good Girl, though, so you're thinking you should get some done, especially to catch up a little more on what you missed so far. The library seems to be a bust for now; even if it weren't so full of people you could hardly hear yourself think, it's full of bad memories. You can't think of many secluded spots around here where you could take some time between yourself and your work. The only one you can think of is the old abandoned classroom where you and Alex first... you know. So off you must head, back in that direction. It's not far from your homeroom so at least you know the way.

You'd ponder on the fact that this is usually around the time when something or someone completely upends your worldview and takes you right back to the low, dark place your mind was in before you came. But... you honestly don't want to. For the first time, the tendency to assume the worst is no longer a siren call on the deepest recesses of your brain. Now, it's something you'd want to avoid, that you'd shrink away from if it tried to drag you down again. Is this how normal people think? It's comforting.

You're about halfway there, strolling along without much of a care in the world, when... you're pinned back against a wall. Again. How does this keep happening?!
