Dana’s POV

Dana was taking part in her cheerleader training at the school’s track field as usual for today but she couldn’t really focus due to her argument with Logan not to mention throughout her entire training she had her eyes trained at an empty basketball court located next to the field.

Usually aside from the basketball team conducting their training, sometimes Kyle would also be seen playing alongside with few members of the team even though he didn’t join the team and sometimes he would even waved at her.

Dana shook her head trying to focus before continuing on her training for the day but she deep down wished that Kyle was at the basketball court today.

It was nighttime, Dana was at her dorm room lying on her bed staring at the ceiling while listening to some music. She was feeling better right now after a small chat with Juliet about her encounter with Logan today. She thought about today’s incident.

Turns out Dana and Trevor actually had broken up recently although it was on good terms as they found out that they weren’t suitable for each other after dating for sometime and eventually they agreed to end their relationship but they still remained as friends.

Soon, Logan after hearing about the news kept asking and convinced her hopefully she would accept him back but Dana told him no. To her, their relationship ended the moment when Logan decided abandon her and be a deadbeat dad instead of taking responsibilities after getting her pregnant. No matter how many times she said no Logan just kept coming back and it’s honestly getting annoying.

Dana sighed and thought. “Why couldn’t I find a boy who is nice and reliable?”

She then thought about Kyle at the school’s hallway during the afternoon. Dana is no stranger to Kyle as he is sometimes seen either leaving Max or Kate’s dorm room early in the morning and the two would have a chat sometimes.

Also based on her talk with Max and Kate, Kyle was a nice guy who treats them very well despite being new to this dating scene who would take them on many dates. Max also admitted that she and Kate actually invited him for their first date and they even talked about how they lost their virginity to each other.

Dana was also surprised that when Max told her that Kyle didn’t had a girlfriend before transferring to Blackwell as she got to admit that he is kinda handsome.

Dana continues to think of Kyle. She thought of him being concerned about her in the afternoon, him sometimes seen at the basketball court, how well he treated Max and Kate which she was shocked that Max and Kate were opened to the idea of sharing a same boy especially Kate who was raised in a heavily religious household. But she got to admit that Kate looks genuinely happy these days.

Although it’s too early and she might be being impulsive. But is Kyle actually the perfect guy she’s been looking for? No doubt that Kyle isn’t part of the Vortex club but Dana didn’t care about her social status anyway since she in fact dated Trevor who was not part of her circle.

Besides that, Dana was also afraid as she went through two failed relationships and wasn’t sure if she could ever experience an another failed relationship.

Finally, the most important part is that Kyle has been taken, she couldn’t just steal someone’s boyfriend as it is absolutely horrible to destroy someone’s relationship not to mention Kyle seemed like a genuinely faithful and loyal person.

“No.” Dana shook her head and said. “I can’t do that, he’s already been taken. I couldn’t just swoop in and steal him away, it will ruin Max and Kate’s relationship, I will be just as bad as Victoria for doing this.”

Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a knock on her door.
