What will a soaked Annette do?
Slippery When Wet
“Why would you even ask if Grant was coming with us?” Thane Taulsen asked, sensing a teaching moment for the young sophomore. Although he was one of the kids not yet on the squad, the baseball team had taken several incoming tenth-graders with high potential under their wing. Two such prospects sat in the back seat of his car.
“I don’t know. I thought we would all help the cheerleaders,” Len “Scooter” Digby admitted. Seated next to him, Jack Hewitt cringed at his friend’s assumption and lack of knowledge about the most intense rivalry at Honey Hollow High.
“Kid, Grant’s twin sister is Gemma, the Sugarbees’ captain. Even if he wanted to turn his back on his sister, which he doesn’t, the cheerleaders would **** us for bringing him to their secret site,” Phillip Peavy explained, sharing a grin with Thane. Sophomores could be so easy to screw around with.
“I told you that,” Jack hissed. He knew the finer details of the cheer and dance hierarchies since his cousin Lemon was a Babybee.
“You know what, Phil? I think we allowed the wrong kids into my car,” Thane remarked, picking up on his friend’s scheming grin.
“I think you’re right. We shouldn’t have let Graham and Ollie take that Kirby kid with them. What’s his first name again?” Phil inquired.
“Cameron. Yep, he seems to have a level head on those shoulders. Maybe we should pull over and switch sophomores,” Thane teased, glancing in the rearview mirror at Graham’s car following behind them.
“Or better yet. We can call Grant up and tell him to take Digby and Hewitt with him. Somebody needs to keep Smitty from pawing the dancers, and we know he doesn’t listen to Huff,” the ace pitcher remarked, barely holding back a laugh at the two sophomores’ expressions.
“Hey, that’s a swell idea…whoops, too late. I guess you boys get a reprieve for now,” Thane announced, slowing his car down and hitting the blinker. “Now, don’t embarrass us.”
“You better not. Thane just started dating Miranda, and I’m still on the lookout for a—Holy mother of god!” Phillip gasped.
“Oh, boy,” Thane muttered. He immediately wondered what kind of madness happened on this farm.
“Whoa!” Jack sounded.
“Forget the Sugarbees! I want to be here!” Scooter exclaimed, leaning forward between the two front seats to better see the view that would star in his fantasies for months.
In the car behind them, Graham shook his head at the sight while Oliver laughed uncontrollably. Both baseball stalwarts pulled their vehicles into makeshift spots near a cornfield.
“Welcome to high school, Kirby,” Graham announced, feeling as if he’d stepped into his older brother’s life for a moment.
Exiting the two cars, the members of next season's baseball team all turned to face the semi-unexpected vision before them. Annette St. Pierre, the cheerleader with the sluttiest reputation, currently toed the line with legendary status.
The busty brunette wore a pair of super short cutoff jean shorts and a red and white checkered button-up top. Nearly all the buttons were undone, with it only staying together due to the tied bottom portion just below the exposed lacy red bra. The exceptional part that would be talked about for years around the baseball diamond came from her dripping milk chocolate hair and the soaked clothes plastered to her skin. Lastly, her words in a husky, breathless tone sent chills down spines for years.
“I seem to have gotten all wet. Can anyone help me dry off?”
Ten Minutes Earlier
“Aiiieeeeeee!” Annette shrieked, rolling off the guy she’d been blowing while the powerful water spray hit her ample chest full-blast.
The slutty cheerleader’s hands attempted to block the water stream as pressurized spray caused one of her blouse’s buttons to come undone. However, the nozzle holder merely shifted the jet down from the brunette’s D-cups to the frequently visited nether regions between Annette’s thighs.
“Eeeek!” Annie squealed when the cold water hit her warmed-up kitty.
She swung her hands down to protect her private spot before rolling over onto all fours. Now, the spray hit her firm buttocks, turning the cutoff jean shorts a darker shade of blue.
“Yeah, take that up the ass, bitch,” the hose holder said with a bark of laughter.
“Stop! Stoooooppppp!” Annie begged, attempting to crawl away. But the steady stream of water followed her everywhere on the abandoned silo’s floor.
“Never!” Tinsley responded. Her short spurts of chortling morphed into lengthy maniacal laughter.
Zita and Tanith raced around the barn first to discover the still-in-progress cheer crime. The sassy, street-smart junior immediately laughed as she spotted Haley attempting to rein in the high-powered hose, which threatened to break free of her control. The legacy Babybee beside her brought up a hand up to her mouth in consternation as she knew this moment would have ramifications. Her cousin Shelly often talked about cheer court.
“Haley, what are…Tinsley!” Miranda screamed, coming around the corner next to spot her younger squadmate before the petite brunette. Then, she spotted her best friend screaming for her life. “Oh, gawd.”
Bridget, Shayla, and Maura arrived next with several additional JV girls. They heard Annie’s screams, Tinny’s laughter, and Miranda’s orders to stop before they actually saw the scene. The varsity cheer captain didn’t know if she should be grateful or upset that Brandy wasn’t the one causing the incident. Still, Tinny’s actions always reflected on her.
By the time Cassandra rounded the corner, her co-best friends bickered with Tinny threatening to turn the hose on anyone who tried to stop her fun. Rather than add her voice to the chorus of demands, the bookish redhead turned to issue orders to the girls behind her.
“Sabrina, Lemon, follow that hose to the source and turn the water off.”
The two more responsible sophomores nodded and raced off. It took under a minute until Haley felt the pressure lessening and dropped the hose as if she’d never held it. An attempt to slink away failed when Shayla marched over to scold her fellow junior.
“Wha…ah, dammit,” Tinny swore when the spray dropped to a trickle. Turning around, she ignored Bridget’s screams and focused on the person she knew pooped her party. “Cass, I was having fun!”
Strangely, Cassie merely pointed a finger at her co-BFF before holding it up as if to say, “Wait.” Instead of admonishing the petulant co-captain, she stormed over to question Annette.
“Are you insane? What are you doing? Thinking of?”
“Uh, I think that’s pretty obvious,” Zita replied from behind her. She couldn’t stifle her giggle while pointing over at Big Ears. “Only Annie would suck a dick in a building shaped like one.”
The local boy stood inside the silo’s entrance with his hands covering his groin. Shocked, he’d never bother to stuff himself back inside his shorts and zip them up. Only after he realized that a dozen and a half girls stared at him did he turn his back toward them and hide his privates for good.
“Cassandra, Annie is not the person in trouble. It’s Tinsley!” Miranda defended her best friend while pointing at the squad’s prankster. “There needs to be punishment.”
Bridget palmed her head. People thought the position of cheer captain was nothing but fun and glamour. A status of privilege in a high school is what most people assume. They never witnessed the problematic job of wrangling eleven other high-energy girls into a single unit.
However, before Bridget could deal with the trouble, a blur of platinum blonde whizzed past her. The person about to handle the in-fighting was as unlikely as they come.
“Annie, what the hell is wrong with you?” Kimberly shouted, screeching to a halt ten feet away from the abandoned silo.
“Me?! Talk to that fucking spaz!” Annette countered, finally able to get back on her feet.
“Tinsley will be dealt with later. For now, get the hell out of there!”
“I’ll be dealt with? By who? Her? Bitch, please,” Tinny muttered until Cassie walked over and yanked her backward.
“Hold on,” Annette responded impatiently after Kimberly pointed again to leave the silo. Obsessed with looking good, the sexually liberated cheerleader tried to fix her clothes the best she could.
“Are you trying to die? Get the hell out of there!” the platinum blonde repeated her order. “Gilbert told you, and I gave a reminder, that the silo isn’t safe. It could come tumbling down at any minute. And you know that as well!”
Tinny threw up her hands after the usually quiet girl spun around to point at her. In her head, she admitted that spraying the hose all around in the sketchy-looking building wasn’t probably a smart idea. But she’d never admit so to the prissy cheerleader.
“What do you mean it’s not safe?” Annie questioned, still standing deep inside as she raised her head to study the tall building’s interior. “Why aren’t there any warning signs?”
“You were given a warning…at least twice!” Kimmie screeched before unloading on the third party involved. “What’s wrong with you, Chet? Did your brain stop working when the blood rushed to your pecker? You’ve known for years about the silo. Heck, we all made bets that it would fall down during that storm two years ago.”
“Huh? Wait, how would he know that?” Ann asked, looking over that guy whose dick she’d been sucking a few minutes earlier.
“Because he lives less than a mile down the road,” Kimberly said, literally pointing in the direction of his home.
“Wait…what do you…What?!” Annette wasn’t the sharpest pom-pom handle in the squad, so it took her brain gears longer to kick into motion. “You’re a county kid? You don’t go to our high school? You don’t go to my high school! And you let me think…I fucking blew a redneck?!”
“Hey, I grew up out here!” Kimberly reminded indignantly.
“I’m going to kill you! No, I’ll cut your small dick off first!”
“Annie, get out of that building first!” Miranda ordered. The directive wasn’t necessary as Big Ears, aka Chet, not only fled the silo but out of sight. Annette attempted a chase but slipped on a small patch of grass and landed with a howled thud. The last they heard, Chet ran into the cornfield and disappeared.
“Stupid bit-titted whore. I hate big tits. I hate every woman with boobs the size of their heads,” Tinny grumbled.
Her neverending string of harsh complaints came while she watched most of the baseball team gawk at the result of her prank. A prank failing wasn’t a big deal in her mind. They happened, and it came with the territory. What enraged the notorious trickster was when a prank backfired and actually helped the target. Something that clearly happened today at this cursed farm.
“Tin!”
“What? I’m obviously not talking about you and those,” the petite brunette replied, pointing at Cassie’s small-to-medium-sized breasts.
The redhead clicked her tongue and gestured over at Bridget, who watched Annette’s tantalizing performance with a cross between amusement and annoyance. Of course, Tinny misinterpreted the gesture and looked past her next-door neighbor at a few of the girls standing in their section of the barn.
“I didn’t mean Lemon. Sure, they’re big for her age, but she needs to mature a little more before they approach Slutty Annie’s level.”
“I meant Bridget,” the exasperated cheer manager clarified.
“Oh, Bee, knows I loathe her big tits. You know that as well,” Tinny said before raising her voice to call over to the newest arrivals. “I wouldn’t do anything but fawn over her! You don’t want to be itchy at the dance next weekend!”
“And people at the library wonder how I’m so good with toddlers,” Cassie muttered.
Another pair of new arrivals made their appearance known as Elliot Ridge and Kirk Langley entered the barn. On assignment for The Buzzy Bee, Kirk carried a camera. The duo held the ultimate responsibility as the only students or faculty at Honey Hollow High to know the secret building locations for all the floats. Kirk threw a friendly wave that brought Cassie over to his side. Assuming the role of tour guide, the new entertainment reporter for the paper escorted her old friend around the float’s frame. She motioned for Rain and Posey to join them.
With Kirk preoccupied, Elliot walked over toward Bridget. The newspaper editor had split their visits in two-thirds between Saturday and Sunday. He’d also saved their final stop on the busier day for the cheerleaders. Not only were Bridget, Tinny, and Cassie his childhood neighbors, but Elliot also expected their group to be more unpredictable. An expectation that met reality.
“Whoa, what happened to Annette?” Elliot inquired.
“You,” Tinny growled, turning around to find her prank archnemesis. Already ready to explode, she found her fuse’s ignition source. With an animalistic growl, the high-flying cheerleader leaped through the air, launching herself onto Elliot.
Mimicking a Wilhelm scream, Elliot fell to the barn’s dirt floor with Tinny on top of him. He struggled to hold her arms so none of her scratches or punches would land.
“Sabrina!” Bridget called out after sighing.
“Yes,” her little cheersister and JV captain responded, rushing over. She tried to focus on Bridget but kept glancing at the struggle on the ground.
“Round up your girls and drag Tinny off of Elliot,” Bridget directed, happy that the captaincy came with a few perks.
“Roger,” Sabrina nodded before whistling for the rest of the Babybees.
Bridget moved away from the wrestling match and made a beeline for her new weekend interest. She waited until after Cassie finished introducing Kirk to River. The two guys shared a short conversation with Kirk saying he’d love to talk about Breezy Bay and Beachberry Resort more in-depth later.
“Uh, should we do something about that?” River asked, finally noticing the struggle.
“Nah, they’ve been doing this since we were like four,” Bridget replied, shrugging.
“Wow. I thought Sela exaggerated about you girls,” River admitted, watching as the tiny Tinny shook off Regina and Lemon’s attempts to grab her arms.
“I’ll admit it’s a little wilder than last year. Rachel’s more the mother you don’t want to disappoint. I guess I’m more the cool mom who lets her kids do what they want…within reason,” the busty blonde explained.
“That works for me,” the handsome visitor chuckled.
“Just don’t tell Sela about everything, especially the hose incident,” Bridget added quickly.
"Not a problem. I'm good at keeping my mouth shut."
“Interesting. I’m good at using my mouth to make men scream. Wanna test who wins tonight?” Bridget asked seductively, brushing her large breasts against him once again.
“Sounds like a date,” River replied, grinning.
“It sounds like someone is dying in here,” Graham announced, walking around the float. He hesitated awkwardly upon seeing how close Bridget was to the unfamiliar guy. However, she moved back to greet him.
"You know Tin and Ellie," Bridget said, shrugging again.
“Uh, sorry about Frida. I heard she got into an argument with another girl. That’s what I was worried about,” Graham admitted. “Harvey’s going to be disappointed. He had high hopes of her liking cheerleading.”
"It's not for everyone. But we can give it another day if you want to try it. The girl she argued with won't likely be back tomorrow. She wasn't interested in cheerleading from the start," the varsity cheer captain explained.
“I’ll ask her and see,” Graham suggested. He glanced at River with a curious expression.
"Oh, damn. I'm sorry. Uh, Graham, this is River–wait. Do either of you take that Diamond-Wynwick feud super seriously?" Bridget queried.
“Not me,” River responded. His eyes suddenly flashed with recognition.
“I’m not my father,” Graham stated.
"Okay, good. Graham Diamond, this is River Sandberry," Bridget said, finishing the introductions.
"You're one of the Wynwicks from Hawaii, right? That owns the resort?" Graham asked.
“And you’re Demi’s nephew, right?” River responded.
Bridget beamed with success as the two guys had a civil, if not friendly, conversation. It was great to play peacemaker if two members of the rival families. If only she could keep the peace when Sela returned.
Of course, the peace didn’t last long as a commotion sounded outside. Throwing up her hands, Bridget walked toward the double-wide doors. On the way, she informed the still rolling around Tinny and Elliot that it sounded like another fight broke out. That’s the only thing that caused her next-door neighbor to stop and hop up.
When they arrived, Miranda was already attempting to calm the situation down. However, she wasn't doing a great job so far.
“She tripped me. The little brat tripped me!” Audra kept repeating.
The younger St. Pierre sister clearly looked pissed while pointing to her skinned-up knee. Cassie took one look upon arrival and dashed off to find the first aid kit.
“It’s okay, Audra. Calm down. It’s only a scratch,” Miranda responded, motioning for the thirteen-year-old to lower her voice.
“Only a scratch? It’s bleeding!” Audra screamed. “It’s her fault. She tripped me on purpose.”
Bridget followed the finger jab and sighed.
“Brandy, why did you you trip Audra?”
“Me?” Brandy repeated, pointing at herself while looking around and behind. “Don’t look at me. Why’s everyone always blaming me? I’m a perfect little angel, remember?”
“Because you’re always the one,” Teddy pointed out.
“I didn’t trip no one. Fawn’s the one who swept the little floozy’s leg,” Brandy boasted proudly.
“Fawn!” Bridget exclaimed, turning to face the blushing bespectacled blonde.
“Don’t blame her. She couldn’t help it,” Brandy stated, sticking up for her friend. “Teddy’s at fault. He was flirting with the future stripper. You know how Fawn gets.”
“Theodore!” Tinny growled at her younger brother.
“How’s it my fault?”
“Were you flirting with Audra?” Bridget asked. “You should know better to do so in front of…”
Teddy appeared confused when his neighbor trailed off while looking at the youngest group of girls. Brandy shook her head at his obliviousness towards Fawn’s crush on him.
“Were you?” Tinny demanded. “What’s wrong with you? Those St. Pierres are nothing but whores. Whores, I tell you!”
“Okay, that’s going too far, Tinsley,” Miranda admonished after Audra gasped.
“Do you want to get a disease or be a daddy at your age? You stay away from little hookers, got that? Do you understand?” Tinny insisted.
“I got it,” Teddy nodded before he flashed his rare version of the mischievous Day grin. “So, how much does Annette cost for a night?”
All hell broke loose as Tinny started screaming at her younger brother. Miranda scolded Teddy, then Audra after she threw an empty soda can at him. Fawn burst into tears while Wrenn began to insult her crush. Bridget looked up at the sky as her little sister took off after her surrogate brother. Racing down the dirt road with Brandy on his trail, they passed the parked cars and a returning Cassie, who carried the first aid kit.
“What did I miss now?”
