Chapter 7

How are the rest of the hearts spent?
Friendship is important
Friends, I need more friends. Scrolling back, the previous upgrade is already half filled, and using 15 of the remaining 16 hearts feels like the best option. There still hasn’t been any advice given, but whatever. Just thinking of having other people around causes a smile to grow. Confirm Purchase.
(-24 hearts, total balance: 1 heart)
The rest of class is spent looking at the app, but there wasn’t anything interesting for 1 heart, just small things like language and complements, it’s like the devs don’t think I know how to speak to people. The phone is back in the backpack as class finally ends.
“So, any plans for this weekend I need to know about?” Following my roommate out of the classroom, trying to talk for the few minutes we both are walking in the same direction.
Jenna was also the ‘social coordinator’ for Brooklyn and me, her self appointed title. Honestly, without her, we’d never go to any parties, probably wouldn’t ever leave campus. Even if the parties weren’t always what I would want, it was still fun to head out.
“Well, Brendan is having huge party at his house, but I was thinking of something smaller. Maybe the three of us could grab drinks and just chat. We, like, never talk outside of the room. And Brookie is always so cute when she’s drunk.”
“Sounds good, except we are still 19, how do we go out for drinks, oh wise one?”
“These always get us drinks!” Her hands cupping and shaking my tits. “We show these off and the drinks will come in. They deserve to be shown off anyways, you know that Harper.”
She wasn’t wrong, dressed up was the only time people looked at my ass over hers. Guess not being a basic blonde bimbo does have some perks. Something different, ‘girl next door does porn’ is how Jenna usually kindly describes my ‘sexy’ look, but she isn’t wrong, which is why I hate her for pointing it out.
“Fine, but I don’t think I have anything that would get three girls wasted clean right now. Can you remind me to do laundry or something tonight so it’s ready for the weekend”
“Brooklyn always offers, just have her do it when she does mine, it’s fine. The girl likes helping out.”
My eyes roll back, nearly involuntary at this point. Jenna still wanting everyone else to treat Brooklyn like her personal maid, but no one else wants that for the girl. Using the bathroom with her showering is one thing, having her clean up after the entire dorm room seems worse, right? We’ve had this fight almost every week since we moved in this year. No sense in trying to solve it now.
“Whatever, but sure, sign me up. I need to blow off some steam from this week. I’ll cya at the room later.”
“Bye-ess”
The rest of the day was uneventful. Three more classes, a couple of hours of studying and assignments. Workout at the campus gym. Even after what felt like one of the hardest workouts to push through, there wasn’t the normal aches and pains. Not that the stupid app was giving any advice on how to help.
How do you follow up a successful day like that?
Changing You: The Self-improvement App
Helping you become the person you are meant to be
A new app apears on your phone. Self help to make you into who you are meant to be. But is that the person you currently are? What harm can a few small tweaks really make after all?
