Text from Max

It’s a text message from Max and it reads:

“Hey Kyle are you asleep? Wanna talk?”

“I was about to until you texted me.” He replied back.

“Oh I’m sorry.” She replied adding a sad face emoji.

“Don’t be. What do you want to talk about?”

“It’s about Chloe.”

Kyle raised an eyebrow reading that text. He text Max back wanting to enquire more.

“What about her?” He texted.

“Well you see…” Max started “Chloe asked me if you are free this weekend as she wanted to hang out with you.”

Kyle was curious, why don’t she text him herself instead of asking Max to help her ask him. Not to mention that they just met for two times and him Max and Kate were planning to go on a tea date this weekend.

“Hanging out? You mean like a date? Seriously?”

“Yeah… I think that’s what she meant. She said that she wanted to make up with you for what happened at the diner.”

“Well if she wants to why don’t she just text me ? Also didn’t we have a tea date this weekend?”

“She said she’s worried that you might reject her and it seems like someone’s had a crush.” Max texted adding a smirking emoji.

“Huh?” Kyle couldn’t believe what Max just texted, is she joking or does Chloe actually like him too?

“Seriously? You’re kidding right?” Kyle continues to type.

“I always thought she’s into girls as she and Rachel used to be a thing. Besides, I’m not mad at all.”

Kyle surprised that Max was apparently not mad about Chloe wanting to hang out with her boyfriend. Then he remembered what Max told him during that night when he, Max and Kate made love for the first time.

“No silly, we’re more like a throuple. A harem is ‘you’ having large number of girlfriends and honestly we kinda like the idea.” He remembered Max’s words. Also the name Rachel also sounded familiar. Could it be that missing girl on the poster he kept seeing all across the school ever since the first day he was transferred here?

“Rachel? You mean Rachel Amber? That missing girl on the poster.” He asked

“Yeah that’s her. Rachel’s missing had been hard for Chloe and I honestly felt happy she finally walk away from it. Hopefully both of you hanging out will help her out.”

“Aww that’s so sweet about you!”

“Gee thanks!” Max replied adding a smile emoji.

“But what about our tea date?” Kyle asked again.

“It’s up to you. I’m sure Chloe would understand if you said no, same goes to Kate and I too. We totally understand and we’re alright if you decided to go with Chloe.”
