A counter appeared showing the total amount of Desire Money that was received, a currency that Lenny figured was called “Desire Dollars” considering how the symbol associated with it was a “D” that had a vertical line like the “S” seen in a dollar sign ($).

Interestingly though, Desire Dollars seemed closer in value to Japanese Yen than any form of Dollar. Lenny’s reasoning for this was that the conversion rate of merch clothing to Desire Dollars meant each item was worth an average of 1600 of the game’s currency.

In short, Leonard obtained 2000000 Desire Dollars (1600 x 1250) from this Point Transfer.

“That’s a lot of funds. Wanna try for one of the fancier buckle things, like the one Mara got?” Erica asked, getting up from the ground after she got a look at the tablet screen. She then extended a hand to Leonard to help him get to his feet too.

Said offer was taken, and Leonard replied “That’s not exactly a priority right now. The block thing needs to come back, wouldn’t want it to stay trapped here. This show somehow is still a form of reality, so at the very least we might have made some kind of parallel timeline by interfering. I hope so at least, I don’t want to believe that we might actually be able to muck up a series’ canon…” while he stood up, before helping Mara in turn.

“I found something!” Angie suddenly shouted, motioning for some people to come over to one of the many screens. With a precise gesture, the footage reversed quickly to show a highlight of the DGP round they’d just participated in.

And in that highlight was another “Kamen Rider”, one with a white fox mask as well as a white scarf piece. “A-Ace-sama!?” Mara gasped, and at that moment Lenny remembered the cover of the DVD case he’d opened to enter this world.

“… then that’s ‘Kamen Rider Geats’?” he gulped, seeing him undoubtedly dominate the Jamato creatures he encountered despite only having a glorified super soaker for a weapon. “I can see why he’s the main character…”

As the camera followed him on his spree of unmatched supremacy, it showed the costumed figure encounter the same block that Lenny remembered.

“Excuse me, Sir. Could you help me find my Papa, Sir? I’ll do whatever you say, Sir.” the block said.

Placing a hand on his costumed chin, Geats chuckled “Interesting. I’ll help you, but keep in mind you’re better off following someone of my level.” as he pulled out a smartphone-shaped device that looked like a toy, before pressing a button and holding the device out to the block.

To Lenny’s shock, the block glowed and phased into Geats’ phone, before the Kamen Rider then continued his run unabated. From there the footage went on following him as he accrued points.

“… I didn’t know the Spider Phone could do that…” Mara mumbled, sweating a bit as the gravity of the situation began to dawn on her.

Rena, on the contrary, simply asked “What’s the problem? He promised to help the block find its ‘Papa’, i.e. Leonard. It sounds like he’ll come to us.”

“Girori-san wants us to stay out of the DGP since we’re ‘viewers’, remember?” Lenny pointed out. “And I’m not sure he’d be eager to have us give away anything about how this is all a TV Show, which would probably happen if he let us interact with any of the remaining official ‘contestants’.”

Erica nodded, adding “Right, and Ace-san made eye contact with Mara-chan before the round started. Plus, as far as he knows she and all of us didn’t make it through the round, only those seven did.”

“It’d reek of favoritism, which usually isn’t a factor in the DGP from what Mara’s said of it.” Angie noted too. “So, how can we get in contact with Ace-san and recover the block if Girori-san won’t let us see him?”

“And here I was worried I was getting a cold.” a familiar voice said behind them, before sniffling.

The five of them turned to see Girori, returning from his earlier-mentioned butler duties. A handkerchief in his hand showed that he had recently blown his nose or covered up a sneeze.

Lenny froze, but eventually said “… okay, don’t get mad, but I—”

“Lost your toy, I heard. It was why I was called away, Ace Ukiyo had wanted to ask me about it since he hadn’t encountered anything like it yet in the DGP.” Girori explained, stepping through to the myriad screens to watch the same footage Angie had found. “I had to make up something about a special secret round, one he alone was eligible for as a repeat winner of the DGP.”

“… can we get it back from him?” Erica asked.

“Not easily. I told him he could take part in the special round as long as he kept the block secret.” Girori replied. “It worked, luckily. I’m still surprised that the Spider Phone had a function to store and recall something like that. I’ve never seen anything like that block before, even from the obscenely rich Player Sponsors like Kekera.”

“… technically, it’s a computer program given physical form due to a series of accidents.” Lenny explained. “I, uh… sort of made it.”

This had Girori squinting in disbelief. “Are you saying you have a power like the Goddess of Genesis?” he asked, his voice wavering.

“N-No, just, uh… a power to exchange things.” Leonard sighed, handing Girori back the tablet to show the 2 million Desire Dollars he now had in his Player Inventory. “I got that by trading in a lot of DGP merch items.”

Another tap showed a screen that shouldn’t exist, a way to directly buy Raise Buckles with Desire Money either by getting a multi-buckle random lootbox or a specific single buckle.

To prove it was legit, Lenny bought the most expensive-and/or-rare-looking Raise Buckle he could, which also ended up costing all of his 2 million Desire Dollars.
