An Surprise Request (Blaze the Cat & Silver The Hedgehog)

Tails was back in his workshop, this time working on a project to help Sonic. As much fun as he’d been having lately, his life couldn’t just be about sex all the time. He was still a hero, after all. He was developing something for Sonic called the Hydro Suit, designed to improve his blue best friend’s mobility in water, since Sonic still hadn’t learned to swim after all these years. He paused when his phone rang, noticing the number was Silver’s. He answered, “Hey Silver, what’s up?”

“Hey Tails,” Silver said, sounding nervous. “Mind if Blaze and I come over? We have something we want to ask you.”

“Umm, sure, I’d be happy to help,” Tails replied, hanging up feeling a little uneasy. While Silver was more laid-back and Blaze more proper, when it came to hero work, they were usually dealing with something serious. Tails considered calling Sonic but decided to wait and see if it was truly urgent. Besides, they would have called Sonic first, right?

A few minutes later, Tails let Blaze and Silver in. He noticed a… tension, perhaps, or something awkward and off between them that he could even feel himself. “You guys okay?” he asked. Blaze looked at him, as did Silver, almost protectively, as Blaze took Silver’s arm. Silver slowly nodded, increasing Tails’s unease. “Is something going on between you two?”

Silver bit his lip, clearly knowing the answer but holding something back. Blaze spoke for him. “Yes, there has been for a while now.” She took a deep breath. “Silver and I have been dating for some time, and we’ve finally decided to stop keeping it a secret since I’m moving to this dimension full time.” Some of the awkwardness dissipated with her words, and Silver looked at Tails, gauging his reaction. “So… now you know.”

“Well, to be honest, I kind of figured,” Tails responded. Blaze and Silver blushed and looked at each other. “You two weren’t exactly subtle. I suspected something was up.” He rubbed the back of his head and chuckled. “But still, congratulations. I’m glad to hear you’re living here full time, Blaze.” Tails looked at Silver, who seemed glum. “Are you okay? You seem kind of down.”

Blaze sighed. “Well, Tails,” she explained, “Amy, Rouge, Wave, Zoey, Cream, and Vanilla have all given you high praise for your… sexual expertise, and I can’t say I’m not curious. But Silver is… less than thrilled about my curiosity.”

Tails paused, looking at the gray hedgehog as he began to understand. “Silver, I swear to you, I won’t try anything. If Amy told you anything, she probably mentioned how Sonic felt after he found out. I never want to cause that kind of pain again. I swear I will never go after Blaze. You can count on that.”

Silver sighed heavily. “No, no, it’s not that, but thank you.” He continued, “Look, I’m going to stop beating around the bush. Blaze is very curious and wanted to try something new to spice up our sex life. So, we’ve come with a proposal that I’m very hesitant about.” There was an awkward silence as Tails knew what Silver was about to say. “We’re thinking of a three-way… the three of us… together.”

Blaze looked at Silver, gently holding his hand, which seemed to reassure him. This made Tails a little less tense, given Silver’s potential to throw him out a window. He looked at Blaze for confirmation, and she continued where Silver left off. “We’ve talked about it and are willing to try it if you’re game.” Tails blinked. Blaze looked at him as he crossed his arms, considering. “If you’re not, I completely understand. We…”

Tails cut her off. “I’m game.” Silver clenched his fist but held his breath as Blaze visibly relaxed, instinctively moving closer to him. Tails explained, “How about tomorrow night?” They looked at each other, and Blaze agreed that would be fine. They then left. Tails took a deep breath and whispered, “Well, tomorrow night’s going to be interesting.”
