“OK,” Alice says.

“You aren’t upset?”

“I haven’t heard it yet.”

“All right.” Faye’s sigh is long and dramatic. Now her fingers restlessly mess with Alice’s shirt. “After you left, Mio came round.”

“I see.”

“I let her in because why wouldn’t I? Only I hadn’t hidden my 2069 magazine properly.”

“She saw you with your cartoon porn?” Alice raises an eyebrow.

“Just the corner of it like. I went to move it and it fell and it was open,” Faye goes on.

“Oh god.”

“And it’s Diagra. It’s a two-page spread of her and the druidess. She’s got her bent over. And you know you can’t impregnate a druidess or there’s a blood curse,”

“OK. I get the picture.” God help her, Alice has looked at some of Faye’s weird porn and knows who Diagra is. “So Mio saw the jacked Amazon lady about to put it in someone’s butt.”

So it’s not just Anderson and Rogue Futa and how SF people are eatin’ well, and she’s on about that stuff, only with the Japanese ones.”

Alice stares at her girlfriend.

“And?”

“And we talked about it for a while.”

“And?”

“And then she left, but she gave me her number.”

“What’s the problem?”

“I dunno! Am I supposed to look at that stuff with a stranger?”

“Uh…” Alice shifts to get comfortable. “I mean, it can’t be worse than leaving your girlfriend alone to go bone Ogle Larks.”

“Oligarch.”

“Bless you.”

“You aren’t cross with me?”

“For what? I’m not sure I like Mio, but it’s not like I’m gonna tell you not to make friends. If she’s into the same stuff you’re into, you should hang out. F1’s kind of lonely.”

“Thanks, baby.” Alice kisses her forehead. “So what I’m hearing is that when I’m not here, you’re looking at cartoon porn.”
