Sophie's House

“Thanks again Renee, I truly appreciate it!” Sophie shouted from upstairs as Renee entered her new friend's home. The young redhead had agreed to walk Yoshi, since Renee wanted to get out of the house while her laundry was being done. Currently outfitted with a surprisingly tight fitting, sleeved, pink shirt she had outgrown sophomore year with a sports bra; as well as some baggy gray sweats for some sense of comfort but also security.

“Sure thing, I love dogs, and a walk couldn't hurt for me either.” Renee smiled as she looked around at the surprisingly typical suburban home, heading up the stairs to Sophie's room following behind.

The two had recently become friends due to an unfortunate incident at the theater. As they entered her bedroom, Renee noticed it adorned with posters of several punk bands the redhead was unfamiliar with. But more surprisingly, an immaculately clean room. On the bed with pink sheets was the corgi, Yoshi laying on his back with his mouth agape.

Hearing people come in he instantly flipped onto his belly and barked happily seeing Sophie. He then gave a quick glance at Renee giving another yip excitedly. Renee however felt a pit in her stomach seeing the little fuzzball. Remembering the scamp from her first day of work where she wound up in her socks and shoes while locked in a hamster cage to the delight of the customers.

Letting out a slight sigh, Renee reached out giving the corgi several scratches as he leaned into her touch. Letting out a yawn the furry guy leapt off the bed and began circling by the door barking loudly towards his owner.

“Guess he knows what time it is.” Sophie chuckled as she retrieved his lime green leash as Yoshi began running happily in a circle with excited grunts. Renee couldn't help but smile at his eagerness. As Sophie handed the leash to the ginger, the fluffy critter's thrill ceased as he gave a glaring side eye towards the exchange.

“Renee here is gonna walk ya bud, so please be good!” Sophie insisted as she started to scratch his head and ears as his stare persisted towards his previous captor. Renee let out a nervous smile as Sophie then patted her shoulder.

“Don't worry they just need me at my store to do a quick safe transfer, I should be back within an hour. Yoshi is just very punctual and if he doesn't follow his routine gets uppity.” The purple streak haired female began to explain as she handed off the end and attached the leash to the collar.

“Just give him a loop or two around Loveland Park and I should be back by then.”

“Seems easy enough, should be a walk in the park.” Renee said smugly as Sophie chuckled while Yoshi continued to glare at the one holding his leash.
