As the car pulled up Max looked out the window to see where, and it was the fanciest mall in town with all the designer outlets. She looked over at Victoria and sighed. "Seriously love? Aren't all these shop seriously expensive?"

"Well yeah, but I have the money to treat you at them so why shouldn't I?"

"Because Vicki, I'm not sure I feel comfortable being gifted something that could run you thousands when I can't do the same for you." Max told her sheepishly and she looked down to her lap and started playing with her hands.

Victoria took Max's chin in her hands and gently guided her to face to look at her. "Listen Max, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I just want to treat you to the best things I can. Not because I expect you to do the same, but because I love you and want you to have everything you want, and I also want to be the one to give them to you."

Max sighed. "Fine. If you're truly ok with spending that much money on me then I can live with accepting the gifts. Just promise me we aren't going to make a regular deal of this, because then I would really start to feel bad."

"Okay Max, I promise. Now let's go" Victoria leaned in and stole a quick kiss before leaving the car, Max following close behind
