The next morning...

Challenging the Tower

We woke up, did our morning rituals, before everyone began to gather and arm up with all they had. Private had a new much stronger shield, Billy was helping to gather ammo for Private's new firearms. See-more had with Gizmo's help upgraded his helmet. Speaking of, Gizmo was finishing up a few new gadgets for the fights to come. Mammoth was grabbing some of those extremely high calorie protein bars and Jinx was going through her own prep work more privately. Gizmo explained how she usually stretched away from the others, Billy specifically. I chuckled before wishing them luck and heading out. Returning about 10 minutes later as Devourius, fully armed and even tossed a couple mags to Private. "Special ammo, save those for something REAL powerful alright? Their expensive as hell but POWERFUL." Might have been an understatement, I mean they were Adamantium rounds after all.

We all gathered at the portal as we finished preparing. The STING of the last training session coming back into our minds. It only got worse when we all saw the message about starting from the beginning because we had failed to reach the end. 100 floors in our last day of training? That was gonna be a tall order, especially if we ran into those fucking Avengers again. Worse part was when the message system informed us that there had been MORE of them to fight had we gotten through that level. With that final message read, everyone prepared and in the party, we stepped through and appeared at the start of a street. At the end a massive towering building going so high it vanished into the clouds around the 40-50th floor.

Welcome to the tower! Fight through to the first floor and reach the top to claim victory! Good luck, your gonna need it!

With that the message vanished and numerous thugs came charging out at us. See-more, Gizmo and Jinx blasted them away with ease as we headed towards the tower. The first 10 floors were much easier than before, we were more used to working together now, getting better at picking targets and watching each others backs. We worked without spending ammo or anything unnecessary until we reached floor 45, the previous floors we'd practically ran through. At 50 Private and myself began to gun down targets quickly so we could keep the pace up. Once we got to floor 60 though we got caught by surprise...

To say we were looking forward to this was an understatement. Mammoth Charged so fast at Thor I nearly got whiplash just seeing it. Gizmo, Jinx and Private went after Hawkeye and Widow, while Billy and See-more took swarming and long range attacks on Cage and Rogers. Billy and See-more were the first ones I saw having trouble, until See-more started using ricochet shots to get around Cap's shield. I caught that out the corner of my eye. What was I doing? Starting the fight with another CHOMP as the sound of metal screeching echoed throughout the room.

Widow immediately tried to hit me with some sort of taser dart, only for Jinx to hit it with magic that pushed it just off course enough to hit Stark in the neck! I kept munching on the incredible material FEAST that was Stark's armor, feeling something change in my body but paying it no mind as I focused on what I needed to do. Consume as much material as possible before destroying Stark. It took a few minutes for me to get half the Armor consumed, he was losing levels real fast, but if it could help me increase my material absorption it was worth it. I used my mask to pull every scrap of armor and metal off him that I could, so imagine my surprise when my mask also ended up eating the POWER SOURCE in his chest! Oh I felt a BIG surge go through my body from THAT part! The next surprise I got was seeing that his health bar started to rapidly tick away, like he was poisoned. I used my axes to finish him off and as I stood up I got a RED notification. Never seen that before.
