Embarrassing Award

May stepped in line with the other bikini clad models. All the others had outstanding figures, not mention intricate, large tattoos, making her feel more inadequate then ever. The contestants were called up one by one to receive their awards. May's heart raced as she waited for her name to be called. And when it was, she stepped forward with a sinking feeling. The prize was a tiny plastic trophy, spray-painted gold and shaped like a tattoo gun. It had a tag attached to it that read 'Most Room to Improve'. The crowd roared with laughter, and she knew it was a joke at her expense.

The emcee handed it to her with a smirk, his fangs glinting under the harsh lights.

"Congratulations," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You've got the least amount of ink and the smallest... assets. But hey, you've got potential!"

The audience erupted in applause, their eyes gleaming with amusement. May took the trophy, her cheeks burning with a mix of anger and humiliation. She had never felt so small, so insignificant.

May's hand trembled as she held the cheap plastic award, the weight of it feeling like a lead balloon. The crowd's laughter was a dagger to her soul, each chuckle and snicker a twist of the knife. She wanted to scream, to tell them all to go to hell, but she knew it would only add to the spectacle.

Instead, she took a deep breath and stepped away from the stage, her eyes on the ground to avoid the sea of smirks and knowing glances. She didn't bother changing out of the bikini—what was the point? She felt more naked than ever.
