The Stairs

Given the circumstances, the stairs seemed to be the best option. In the apocalypse movies, it would only be a matter of time before the shut-off and John didn't want that to happen while he was in an elevator. It may have been foolish for the crossdresser to rely on movie logic but he was still frazzled over his assault. Not to mention there had to be some real-life logic put into those films so it had to be good reference material at least.

John slowly opened the stairway door and peeked down. The staircase was clear for the moment but John wasn't going to rush down. The zombies could be anywhere and were attracted to noise, John had to be careful if he was going to escape. Slowly, the crossdresser descended the stairs, making sure his footsteps made as little noise as possible.
