Chapter 4 by FlightoftheBeers FlightoftheBeers

It's time to start the bet!

Complete Confidence

She told Cal about the bet. Of course, he was completely floored. "You didn't think to, maybe, I don't know, ask before using me as a prize on your fucked up game?" He couldn't hide his disappointment, but Jane seemed to miss it completely.

"Come on, honey! This'll be easy and then we'll get a free maid for a month! Let's just enjoy the rest of the night and take the win!" She hooked her arm in her husband's and began making her rounds. He was blown away by her extroversion; she was usually quiet and reserved, but this was a whole new side. It wasn't a terrible side, but it was a bit exhausting.

He excused himself at some point, Jane simply waving him off as she soaked in the attention from her former peers. At least she was having fun. Cal nursed his drink as he sat at the impromptu bar the school had set up in the gym. When Kelly sat down next to him, he let out an audible sigh. "Aw, am I that bad of company?" Kelly pouted, feigning hurt.

"I want no part of your game with my wife," he groaned, keeping his eyes on his drink. This was so stupid; he'd come here to support his wife, but now he was an unwilling pawn in a game while his wife lived it up and got to pretend that these people were her friends.

"You mean you don't miss me at all?" He could hear her pouting without even looking. She made it quite obvious in her voice. For Kelly, this was more than a game. While Jane would never suspect it, Kelly had always been jealous of her. Jane had close friends, good grades, and was relatively popular with the boys. She didn't know what fiction Jane had drawn up, but it was true that Kelly took any chance she could to tear Jane down. It was hardly one-sided, though. Kelly had always struggled in school, which Jane took great pleasure in pointing out. Her friends were shallow, unlike Jane's, but it was better than being alone.

When she met Cal, she had truly believed she'd found the one. Even after they split, she pined for him in the back of her mind. For the longest time, she considered it a pipe dream to have him back, but here he was. It had to be fate. This left her in a conundrum: she knew she could go about this two ways. Either she seduced him with her sensuality or appealed to him with her **** emotions.

Which does she go with?
