Blue Pearl Gets An Idea

At that moment, Blue Pearl seemed to perk up. "My lady!" she called out, waving her arms at her mistress.

Blue Diamond looked to her faithful servant, before leaning closer so that Blue Pearl could whisper something into her ear. Priyanka watched as Blue's eyes widened, before she made a quizzical expression. Ultimately, she gave a slight shrug and nod. "It just might work."

"What might work?" Priyanka inquired.

"My Pearl has suggested a scenario which would let me experience the joys of caring for another person and help you come to terms with the absence of your own family at the same time," Blue Diamond suggested.

"How so?" Priyanka asked, eager to hear what Blue had in mind.

Blue then shifted her position and gazed down intently on the Indian doctor. "Would you allow me to bestow upon you the abundance of affection I have to offer?"

Priyanka had not expected that. But given how Blue had proven to be the kindest of the Diamonds, she saw no reason to be wary. "Alright. If you truly believe it would work, I'm in."

Blue smiled again, before looking to her servant. "Pearl, please prepare Dr. Mahe- Priyanka, while I acquire everything else we will need."

"As you command, my Diamond," said Blue Pearl, as her mistress removed her from her shoulder and set her down on the ground beside Priyanka. She then watched as Blue Pearl went around the mountain. Soon as she disappeared, she turned to Priyanka and took her by the wrist, saying, "My lady, please come this way."

Priyanka would have been content to just follow Blue Pearl, though she seemed intent on leading her along by the hand like a child.

She was then brought up to the Beach House and led inside. Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl were out at the time, so it appeared they had the place to themselves. "Where are we going?" Priyanka asked.

"The Crystal Temple," Blue Pearl informed her. leading her towards the door at the back of the Beach House. "In the time since peace between the planets was declared, the Earth Gems had designated some space in the Temple for my Diamond and her colleagues to use however they please."

"I see," Priyanka remarked, as Blue Pearl led her into the Temple. She gazed around, impressed with its design and much longer space within than without.

Soon she was brought over to a large blue door which, obviously, was for Blue Diamond. Blue Pearl then stepped up to the console and pressed a few buttons. After the input was accepted, she said, "Alright, it should be ready for us now."

Priyanka was uncertain what she meant, but when they stepped into Blue's room, she saw something quite alarming.
