"Is Debbie bi, too?" Bernie asked. She shielded her eyes from the glare of the sun reflecting from the ocean on this bright, clear early afternoon, sitting at an outside table of a fish-and-chips shack by the beach.

Some of Stuart's surf crowd sat with her. The surf was a little weak today, so Bernie and Gary were catching up with Trent, Rei, and Kevin.

"Debbie is down for anything," Trent boasted. The long-haired member of Stuart's surf crew, and Stuart's favorite butt boy, spoke admiringly of the girlfriend Stu had fixed him up with. He dabbed his fries in a pool of ketchup and took a bite.

Rei shrugged. "I mean. She's flexible?" Stuart's dyke-iest crew member said, rubbing her velvet-short side shave. She tilted her head while looking at Bernie. "But Debbie will go for dick first if she can get it. Stu fixed her up with Trent to keep them both happy. Trent loves having a sex pet. Deb loves being a sex pet. She could be more, but I mean mostly I know her as a party girl. What do you think. Kev?"

Rei's redheaded stringbean of a boyfriend grinned. "She sure got you off, babe," Kevin said. "And man, did you do a number on her. I love to see it. You don't get enough pussy."

Rei laughed. "Hee hee, yeah. I guess I was a little pent up. I think she likes showing off for Stu and Trent, yeah. She'll go bi to show off for guys. I'll show off and party down if that's where I can get chicks. We're not the same. You know?"

Bernie was mystified that Reiko and Kevin were a couple, but they seemed pretty attached, and Rei was willing to miss opportunities to connect with women to stay with him. What did Rei get from this careless bi slacker dude?

Bernie swallowed. Careless bi slacker dude. She could ask herself the same question about Gary. Maybe she and Rei had the same answer. The guy listened to her and showed up when it counted. Bernie's women lovers...? She sighed, then squeezed Gary's knee under the table. Here he was trying to help fix her up with Debbie.

Gary cleared his throat. "Oh hey Trent, does Debbie like massages? Shoulder rubs, back rubs?"

"Does she ever. That's how Rei got her going," Trent said. "Debs gets all tense pretty easy."

Gary bumped Bernie's arm with his elbow.

Bernie took the hint. "I'd like to treat her to one. I bet I could talk my mom into helping if you want one at the same time."

"This is your mom with the pool and the hot tub out back?" Trent asked.

"Yeah, my mom who keeps a nudist house," Bernie said.

"Debbie'll totally go for that. I mean the pool. Naked is probably okay."

Rei and Kevin chuckled.

"No really," Trent said. "I'll ask her."

Debbie called back to Bernie in a couple of days to accept the offer of a pool and massage date at Bernie and Joyce's house.
