He answers

His phone buzzed and lit up with David's name on the screen. Without hesitation, Scott answered the call and David's voice filled his ear, "Scott, I couldn't help but think about earlier. You have a remarkable group of slaves and you were able to capture so many who were trying to escape the law," David said warmly. "I have a proposition for you- how would you like to become a deputy?"

A mix of surprise and curiosity flooded through Scott's mind. Scott thought for a moment before saying, "What would I have to do?"

"It's quite simple," David explained. "Deputies will be a new branch of ICE dedicated to enforcing the new law. We can't rely solely on regular police officers to handle this responsibility. As a deputy, you will have all the powers of law enforcement and most of the time, you will be left alone to do your job. However, there may be times when we need your assistance in recovering or punishing those who have violated the law."

Scott's heart raced at the thought of having such authority and responsibility. But before agreeing, he wanted more details.

"What kind of compensation are we talking about?" he asked cautiously.

David let out a deep, throaty chuckle that seemed to reverberate through the room. "Let's just say it will be worth your while," he purred, his voice dripping with promises of wealth and pleasure. "You will be generously compensated for each job you complete, and more importantly, you will have full permission to indulge in any of the targets you desire. And on top of all that, you will have first pickings to make them your own, and a 25% discount."

Scott's mind was spinning with the possibilities. Scott's mind raced as he listened to David's proposition. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He had always felt a sense of superiority over those he considered inferior, and now he had the opportunity to legally own and control them. The thought of it made his heart race with excitement.

"I'll do it," Scott said, his voice filled with determination. "I'll be a deputy."

David chuckled. "Excellent," he said. "I knew I could count on you. I'll send over the paperwork and your badge.

For now, I gave you a temporary badge on your phone."

Scott's eyes widened as he looked at his phone and saw a new icon labeled "Deputy Badge." He tapped on it, and it brought up a holographic badge that floated above his phone. He couldn't believe it. He was now a deputy.

David's voice brought him back to reality. "As of now, we don't have any jobs lined up for you, but I want you to keep your eyes out for any potential targets," he said, his voice calm and collected. "You know what kind of women we're looking for, and I'm sure it won't be hard for you to find them."

Scott nodded, even though David couldn't see him. He was already thinking about his next move, his mind racing with possibilities. He looked around the dimly lit hallway, his eyes adjusting to the darkness. The smell of urine and decay filled his nostrils, and he could hear the sound of muffled voices coming from one of the apartments.
