Jake Long American Dragon

There is an actual episode that is role reversal esk in the series of American Dragon. When Jake and his family head up to a family reunion he meets his cousin Gregory. Now Jake is the chosen Dragon Protector of New York and easily outperforms Cousin Gregory in all the contest but the rest of the family still reward the slightly younger boy. Letting him join them at the grown-up table while Jake joined Hailey and his younger cousins at the kiddy tables during meals.

There is also the sort of mentor/student relationship that Jakes has with Fu Dog which could be gone into where the humanoid dog easily takes over parts of Jake's life when the Dragon does not get his act together.

There is also the Australian Dragon which forms a rivalry with Jake during a meeting of other Dragon Protectors which could be dealt with.
