Lunch with Airman Stone

As Airman Stone stands up from behind her desk, your heart begins to race. She looks amazing in her uniform: her hair is short and blonde with a slight curl at the ends; she has high cheekbones and striking green eyes that seem to sparkle when she smiles. You can’t help but notice how the tight fabric of her shirt hugs her curves perfectly, emphasizing every curve and bump.

You also can’t help but compare her to Colonel Hancock. They both have very similar builds, but what really gets you is the eyes. It almost seems like you are looking at a 20-year younger version of the Colonel.

“I’m Britney, by the way.” She says holding out her hand to shake yours.

“Oh... um Doe…I mean John,” you stutter nervously as she leads you outside and down the road towards the chow-hall. As you walk beside Airman Stone, you can’t help but notice how close you are to her; it feels like your bodies are almost touching at times.

“So,” she says after several moments of awkward silence have passed between the two of you, “Colonel Hancock told me that this is your first time working with her?” You nod in response as you continue walking side by side down the sideway. “Well then congratulations!” She smiles brightly at you once more before continuing on about how great it must feel to be working for someone so prestigious.

When you reach chow-hall, Airman Stone holds open one of the double doors so that you can enter ahead of her. You both grab trays, get some food, and you follow her down towards an empty table near the back.

“So,” she says again as she begins to cut the chicken breast on her plate, “What do you think of working for Colonel Hancock so far?” She smiles at you mischievously as she asks.

“It’s been great, so far,” you lie.

“Oh, come on, we all know Colonel Hancock is a huge bitch.” Airman Stone replies.

You blush and shake your head vigorously as she says this. “I... I wouldn’t say that,” you stammer out quickly. “She’s been very good to me so far; giving me lots of opportunities to learn and grow.” You take a bite from the chicken on your plate and try to change the subject away from Colonel Hancock.

Airman Stone laughs at your response, “You’re good on your toes…I’ll give you that.”

As you both eat, you and Airman Stone continue chatting about your jobs. You tell her how you didn’t sign up to be a personal assistant, but you’ve been embracing it.

When both of you have finished eating, she stands up from her chair and reaches out for her tray. “Well,” she says with a wink before turning towards the trashcan where she dumps all her garbage, “I guess we better head back.” She smiles brightly at you.

You stare after her for a moment before finally standing up yourself. With another blush on your face, you grab both trays and push them in the dishwashing area, before walking back to HQ building.

As you enter the building you see General Romano and Colonel Hancock, sitting the waiting area next to Airman Stone’s desk.

“Hey sweaty,” you hear Colonel Hancock say in the nicest voice you’ve ever heard from her. You are immediately taken aback. Did she just call you sweaty in front of the General?

But you are quickly snapped back to reality when you hear Airman Stone behind you, “hey mom” she says while going over to give Colonel Hancock and hug and kiss on her cheek.

“You’ve got a good one here,” Airman Stone tells her. “He didn’t have a bad thing to say about you.”

“Oh, Sarah, you did not,” General Romano burst out nearly doubling over with laughter.

You stand there awkwardly for several moments as Airman Stone talks to Colonel Hancock and General Romano. You can’t help but feel incredibly embarrassed by the whole situation. Here you’ve been sweating and nervous all day standing next to the two most powerful people in the military, and here she is discussing personal matters with them like they were old friends. Of course you’re sure the fact that one is her mother helps.

Finally, Airman Stone turns her attention back towards you and smiles sweetly before saying, “Well anyways, I enjoyed our chat during lunch.” You blush even more deeply and nod your head quickly in response before turning around towards Colonel Hancock.

“Airman Stone, can you show Airman Doe to the visitor’s offices? Colonel Hancock and I have some stuff to discuss, privately.” The General says.

Airman Stone, takes you down a long hallway to a room full of empty desks. As you set your stuff down and start working Airman Stone leans over and says, “I’m sorry, my mom made me do it.” she blushed slightly, “But that must mean she likes you. Don’t worry even if you had said anything, I won’t have told her.” She gives you another smile before leaving the room and returning back to her desk.
