Hunt for Mei Mei

Sukuna and Maki, now gorgeously dressed, separated from Nobara and I and started making their way across the casino floor. As they crossed the room, they drew curious glances from the rich patrons lounging at the bar and spending big at the various games.

As they approached a small gathering of businessmen, Sukuna attempted her best at flirting with mortals. "Greetings, fine gentlemen. I am a fan of the thrill of the game, but I must admit, my knowledge of the intricacies of your dealings could use some refining. Perhaps, you could indulge me in a conversation that enlightens me on your most daring games, and in return, I could share with you the my most...captivating stories."

Some of the business looked at her in confusion while others shrugged, clearly not caring if Sukuna's flirting was a little odd due to her stunning appearance.

Maki, meanwhile, moved in for the kill, wrapping an arm around one of the businessmen and flashing a dazzling smile. "Urgh, ignore her. Let's just enjoy a good game, right boys?" She leaned in, whispering seductively, "My friend here could use some pointers in playing this game, but I'm sure I can provide more than a little pleasure than just being your lady for tonight."

While their approaches differed, the results were the same—the men were more than happy to oblige, drawn in by the charms of these two very different women. With Maki and Sukuna now busy, Nobara and I made our way deeper into the casino, sights set on gathering information on Mei Mei.

The Mistress Fortune casino was a place where the haves and the have-nots collided, in a sea of riches and opulence. Carpets of deep red and black patterns underfoot, leading the way to a plethora of gaming tables, slot machines, and high-stakes private rooms. The air was heavy with the sounds of clinking chips, excited chatter, and the beckoning call of fortune. The scent of fine perfume, expensive cigars, and **** mixed together, creating an intoxicating atmosphere.

As we walked deeper into the labyrinthine structure, the walls began to close in, with each corridor lined with gilded mirrors and statues of mythical creatures. The sounds of a grand orchestra began to fill the air, their music a perfect accompaniment to the grandiosity of the setting.

At the heart of it all stood the main poker table, with the likes of the casino's richest and most influential guests. An air of exclusivity surrounded the place, as if to hint that this was a realm only for the elite. Amidst the grandeur and luxury, the tension and the stakes only rose. It seemed one person was winning, and had mountains of other guests chips stacked in her favour.

The person was wearing a form fitting white dress, with quite a sexy body. Her giants breasts and tall stature made her stand out above the other woman hovering around the poker table. The most unique thing about her was her blue hair, which criss-crossed into a fringe that covered her eyes to add an air of mystery to her. And yet to us, it was clear who this woman was.

It was Mei Mei.

But suddenly, the casino erupts into a chorus of cheers. It seems Mei Mei lost her round, returning the chips to the other players and putting up her hands in defeat. Several business cry in joy while others drunkenly cheers at reclaiming their money. Mei Mei turns from the betters, her white flowing dress trailing behind her as she purposefully walks away from the game table.

I watch as Mei Mei swiftly enters an elevator nearby. Me and Nobara watch the numbers stop at the highest floor, F60. I look to Nobara and signal her to follow me to the elevator. As the doors close and the celebration of the betters is replaced by generic elevator music, a strange feeling comes over me. Something about her sudden loss and the manner in which she left just didn't sit right with me...

As the elevator climbed up to the top floor, I turn to Nobara and ask "Speak honestly. Did Mei Mei's lose look suspicious to you?"

Nobara looks down but nods. "Yes it did. It's not like Mei Mei to just give up, especially when there's money involved. Something's definitely wrong," she says, her voice layered a hint of worry.

The elevator dings, signalling our arrival to the top floor. We exit the elevator, revealing a dimly lit hallway. I beckon Nobara to step out, my eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger. The air feels heavy with an ominous sense of impending peril.

The two of us walk down the corridor, the sound of our footsteps echoing loudly in the quiet. We finally reach a door labeled Penthouse. No surprise that as the owner, Mei Mei would stay at the most private and exclusive part of the casino she owned.

I look to Nobara and urge her to obey "When we enter, go with the cover story we discussed earlier. Got it?"

Nobara gives a **** eye roll. I then draw back my leg and kick at the door, imbuing my leg with a portion of Cursed Energy. The door shatters open, planks of wood sent flying around the room. The room rivals even the luxury of the Suite at Jujutsu High, with beautiful gold and white walls, expensive art pieces and furniture and a large chandelier to reflect the casino's aesthetic.

As the dust clears, I see Mei Mei. No longer wearing her white dress, she stands dead centre in the living room in an even more form fitting purple dress that looks build for fashion and movement. She leans against a large dark oak dining table, a massive battle axe resting against the table as if mimicking her.

"Mei Mei, you're okay!" Nobara says, putting on a fake act of distress. "Someone's been hunting Jujutsu Sorcerers, a rogue sorcerer who even attacked us at Jujutsu High! We're on the run, we think the sorcerer is following us. You've got to help us, please!"

Mei Mei's eyes gleam with a mix of amusement and admiration. "Give it a break, Nobara. You of all people should know I'm always a few steps ahead." Her tone is light, her voice betraying no hint of fear or unease.

She then points at me, a knowing smirk curling her lips. "I know about you too, John. Quite the powerful technique you have... but it seems you're out of cards for this round, kid."

Shit! How did Mei Mei know about my plans? The fact she even knows about my Mind Control Cursed Technique implies she's already talked with Gojo. If that's the case, we might be completely out of our league right now!

Nobara's face falls slightly, both relived yet saddened Mei knows about our plans, but alas can't join her to against me. Mei Mei takes a step back, her demeanor confident and unshakable. Nobara and I advance towards her to match her movements.

Mei Mei continues to grin, her confidence unwavering. "Luckily, that fool always informs me about what happens with his little school. I really did put my chips on the right number, huh?"

What follows next catches Nobara and I completely off guard. In a smooth, graceful movement, Mei Mei grabs her battle axe and volts over dining table. Stunned, we watch as she swings her axe over her shoulder and launches herself out of the penthouse window. Her speed is astounding, leaving you and Nobara barely a second to register what has happened before she vanishes from sight.

Nobara lets out a startled scream. Concerned for Mei Mei, she rushes to the ledge, looking out to the dizzying heights below. My heart races as I follow close behind, eyes searching for any sign of Mei Mei. My fears are realised when a few stories below, I spot her small figure hurtling towards the pavement below.

Suddenly, a loud squawking echoes across the skies. A dark cloud emerges from around the corner of the building, hundreds of crows assembling. With astonishing speed, they dive and engulf Mei Mei in darkness, forming a thick blanket of feathers that catches her just before impact.

The swarm of crows then ascends into the clouds as Mei Mei's laughter echoes through the air. Her cocky grin is clear even at a distance, daring for us to catch up.

Mei Mei has escaped.
