Patrick's gaze lingered on Hinata's face for a moment before he turned to Naruto. "So, Naruto, how's your...training going?" he asked, his voice dripping with false interest. Naruto's eyes narrowed slightly, but he seemed to relax a fraction, his expression softening.

"It's going well, thanks for asking," Naruto replied, his voice cautious.

Patrick's face lit up with a warm smile as he reached out to clap Naruto on the back. "That's great to hear, Naruto! I'm really proud of you," he said, his voice filled with false sincerity. As he made contact with Naruto's back, he subtly placed a hand seal on the younger man's spine. The seal was invisible and undetectable, but it would slowly begin to drain Naruto's chakra and the power of the Nine-Tails, transferring it to Haruto.

Naruto didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary, but Hinata's eyes narrowed slightly as she watched the exchange.
