The Parent who lived

Voldemort didn't exist in this timeline. There wasn't a full fledged Wizarding War. Harry's Parents never died. If those revelations weren't enough for Hermione to totally flip out the next one did.

"Snape is the Headmaster," screamed Hermione. Many eyes fell on them. Her friends were having the time of their life reacting to her sheer terror at what she had heard.

"Have you hit your head," said Ron, "first you can't remember Nicola, and now you can't remember anything else."

"We've all had those days," said Harry. Hermione stared hard at his forehead. The scar wasn't there. How hadn't she noticed. Yet she knew. It was boobs. It was asses. It was women who were invading her mind at every moment. Clouding the obvious.

"How are my lovlies doing today," sang a familiar voice. Lily Potter bounced to the table. Grabbing grapes as she popped them in her mouth. She was the only thing to make them both stop laughing.

She doted on Harry before her eyes found Hermione. It was there her eyes stopped.

Lily Potter was beautiful. Lively. She looked so young. A smile always behind her eyes. And Hermione couldn't stop staring at her.

"Wow," said Lily.

"You've really matured this summer Hermione. Must have all the boys after you." Harry raised his eyebrow and tried to shake off the comment with a large swig of pumpkin juice.

"They are going to have a hard time getting my focus off of you Professor Potter," said Hermione. Ron's mouth dropped. Both Potter's looked shocked before Lily finally recovered.

"I hope your focus will be on your schoolwork before anything lovlies," said Professor Potter. She smiled and walked away towards the professor's table, but one of her hands ran along Hermione's back. Chills were sent down Hermione's spine. She was breathing hard. Her focus of other things suddenly was gone. She closed her eyes trying not to think of all the women she had ran into today. Only returned to normalcy by the voice of her friend.

"Whatever that was Hermione," said Harry, "was not cool."
